What energy transformation happening when starting a car
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

Explanation:

We're starting a car. We have the fuel in the engine, and when the engine starts, that fuel is converted into power to move the car. The fuel is made of chemicals, right? Propane, gasoline, so on. What kind of energy comes from chemicals? Chemical energy, right?

That fuel is chemical energy, and the energy to move the car must be kinetic/mechanical energy. However, that's not the only source of mechanical energy.

There's another source of mechanical energy here as well: we have an electric battery. What kind of energy is found in a battery? The battery has electricity, and so it has electrical energy. Some of that electrical energy turns into mechanical energy when the car starts up.

But the engine heats up as well, right? There's one more energy that the electrical energy and chemical energy produce here: thermal energy. That's the source of the heat.

I hope this makes sense for you. Have a wonderful day!

Bob and Lily are riding on a typical carousel. Bob rides on a horse near the outer edge of the circular platform, and Lily rides
jekas [21]

Answer:

B.the same as Lily's.

Explanation:

When a disc is rotating on its axis uniformly with some angular velocity , every particle on it rotates with the same angular velocity , because every particle on it completes a rotation simultaneously . So in one rotation they take same time . Hence particles whether on the outer edge or near the axis , all have same angular velocity .

They but differ due to their different linear velocity . Linear velocity of particle near outer edge have greater magnitude. .

A toy spacecraft is launched directly upward. When the toy reaches its highest point, a spring is released and the toy splits in
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

Momentum conservation will cause 0.08kg to move to the west (opposite of 0.02 kg).

and because both are at the same height above the ground, they will take the same time to reach the ground.

The speed of 0.08kg will be less than 0.02 kg, let v be the speed of 0..02kg, then speed of 0.08kg V is

0.02v - (0.08)V = 0

V = 0.02 v/ 0.08 = v/4

The speed of 0.08 kg = v/4

The speed of 0.08 kg is less than 0.02kg.

So 0.02kg strikes the ground farther from the launch point than does the 0.08 kg

Calculate the normal force pushing up from the table in each example 8 kg
garik1379 [7]

The correct answer to the question is: 78.4 N.

EXPLANATION:

As per the question, the mass of the object is given as m = 8 Kg.

We are asked to calculate the normal force of the object.

The object is resting on the table.

Hence, the object pushes the table downward with a force equal to it's weight.

The table, in turn, pushes the object with the same force as given by the object, but in the upward direction.

The force given by the table on the object is known as the normal reaction of the object which acts perpendicular to the surface of the object.

Hence, the normal reaction is equal to the weight of the body.

The weight of a body is the product of it's mass with acceleration due to gravity.

So, the weight of 8 Kg object is calculated as -

Weight = mg

= 8 × 9.8 N.

= 78.4 N.

Here, g is known as acceleration due to gravity.

Hence, the normal force pushing up from the table is 78.4 N.

if a total force exerted by water in a container with a bottom area of 2 square meters is 450 newton's what's the water pressure
Rina8888 [55]
Pressure =      Force / Area.

Where pressure in in Pascals or N/m²
Force is in Newtons, Area is in m²

Pressure = 450 N / 2 m²

Pressure = 225 N/m² or 225 Pascals.
