A hot iron ball of mass 200 g is cooled to a temperature of 22°C. 6.9 kJ of heat is lost to the surroundings during the process.
qaws [65]
Heat lost or gained, H = mc(θ₂ - θ₁)
Where m = mass, c = Specific heat capacity, θ₂= final temperature, θ₁ = initial temperature

m = 200g, c = 0.444 J/g°C, θ₁ = 22 °C  (Since it was cooled).

H = 6.9 kj = 6.9 *1000J = 6900 J

6900 = 200*0.444* (θ₂ - 22)

6900/(200*0.444)  =  θ₂ - 22

77.70 = θ₂ - 22

θ₂ - 22 = 77.7

θ₂      =  77.7 + 22 = 99.7

So initial temperature before cooling ≈ 100°C .  Option C.

The maximum distance from the Earth to the Sun (at aphelion) is 1.521 1011 m, and the distance of closest approach (at perihelio
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

29274.93096 m/s

2.73966\times 10^{33}\ J

-5.39323\times 10^{33}\ J

2.56249\times 10^{33}\ J

-5.21594\times 10^{33}

Explanation:

r_p = Distance at perihelion = 1.471\times 10^{11}\ m

r_a = Distance at aphelion = 1.521\times 10^{11}\ m

v_p = Velocity at perihelion = 3.027\times 10^{4}\ m/s

v_a = Velocity at aphelion

m = Mass of the Earth =  5.98 × 10²⁴ kg

M = Mass of Sun = 1.9889\times 10^{30}\ kg

Here, the angular momentum is conserved

L_p=L_a\\\Rightarrow r_pv_p=r_av_a\\\Rightarrow v_a=\frac{r_pv_p}{r_a}\\\Rightarrow v_a=\frac{1.471\times 10^{11}\times 3.027\times 10^{4}}{1.521\times 10^{11}}\\\Rightarrow v_a=29274.93096\ m/s

Earth's orbital speed at aphelion is 29274.93096 m/s

Kinetic energy is given by

K=\frac{1}{2}mv_p^2\\\Rightarrow K=\frac{1}{2}\times 5.98\times 10^{24}(3.027\times 10^{4})^2\\\Rightarrow K=2.73966\times 10^{33}\ J

Kinetic energy at perihelion is 2.73966\times 10^{33}\ J

Potential energy is given by

P=-\frac{GMm}{r_p}\\\Rightarrow P=-\frac{6.67\times 10^{-11}\times 1.989\times 10^{30}\times 5.98\times 10^{24}}{1.471\times  10^{11}}\\\Rightarrow P=-5.39323\times 10^{33}

Potential energy at perihelion is -5.39323\times 10^{33}\ J

K=\frac{1}{2}mv_a^2\\\Rightarrow K=\frac{1}{2}\times 5.98\times 10^{24}(29274.93096)^2\\\Rightarrow K=2.56249\times 10^{33}\ J

Kinetic energy at aphelion is 2.56249\times 10^{33}\ J

Potential energy is given by

P=-\frac{GMm}{r_a}\\\Rightarrow P=-\frac{6.67\times 10^{-11}\times 1.989\times 10^{30}\times 5.98\times 10^{24}}{1.521\times 10^{11}}\\\Rightarrow P=-5.21594\times 10^{33}

Potential energy at aphelion is -5.21594\times 10^{33}\ J

Think of a time where you have observed someone's behavior and been encouraged to do the same. What did you do? Was it a good or
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

i'm not sure if you are asking as a  personal question or a book question so i'm taking it personal.

Explanation:

I was doing a simple task that was handed to me to test my responsibility and I agreed (knowing i am responsible :3). my first thought was "man , this is easy!" but then i started seeing the other kids slaking off and quiting their tasks. I thought that was against the rules, but then i saw my bff doing it too and i thought "this should be ok then!" so i did the same. other kids where still doing it. the teacher came, saw the ones still working and smiled... but when the teacher looked at the ones slaking off omg... his face was like * im gonna kill yall* we took one big gulp and whined. the teacher awarded the ones who completed the task... the others , we had to do our original task but doubled... for 3 weeks!!! it was awful!!!

I WOULD NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!
