Without technology, we wouldn't have as much of an idea what other forms of resources would be worth trying. Also, if we didn't have technology, people would be dying more rapidly from illnesses, due to many unknowns only found out through technology. Although technology has many good points, it also has some more negative ones. One way that technology has a negative impact is that it puts radiation into people, which causes health problems. Another way technology is negatively impacting the environment is with the clearing of forest land, with the help of machinery. This clearing is driving animals out of their homes.

NEG: As tech gets better and better, all the old models usually just get tossed increasing all the landfill stuff that won't ever really decompose.
POS: a large reduction of paper usage, and multi functioning devices.

Calculate the energy, wavelength, and frequency of the emitted photon when an electron moves from an energy level of -3.40 eV to
jasenka [17]

Answer:

(a) The energy of the photon is 1.632 x 10^{-8} J.

(b) The wavelength of the photon is 1.2 x 10^{-17} m.

(c) The frequency of the photon is 2.47 x 10^{25} Hz.

Explanation:

Let;

E_{1} = -13.60 ev

E_{2} = -3.40 ev

(a) Energy of the emitted photon can be determined as;

E_{2} - E_{1} = -3.40 - (-13.60)

           = -3.40 + 13.60

           = 10.20 eV

           = 10.20(1.6 x 10^{-9})

E_{2} - E_{1} = 1.632 x 10^{-8} Joules

The energy of the emitted photon is 10.20 eV (or 1.632 x 10^{-8} Joules).

(b) The wavelength, λ, can be determined as;

E = (hc)/ λ

where: E is the energy of the photon, h is the Planck's constant (6.6 x 10^{-34} Js), c is the speed of light (3 x 10^{8} m/s) and λ is the wavelength.

10.20(1.6 x 10^{-9}) = (6.6 x 10^{-34} * 3 x 10^{8})/ λ

λ = \frac{1.98*10^{-25} }{1.632*10^{-8} }

  = 1.213 x 10^{-17}

Wavelength of the photon is 1.2 x 10^{-17} m.

(c) The frequency can be determined by;

E = hf

where f is the frequency of the photon.

1.632 x 10^{-8}  = 6.6 x 10^{-34} x f

f = \frac{1.632*10^{-8} }{6.6*10^{-34} }

 = 2.47 x 10^{25} Hz

Frequency of the emitted photon is 2.47 x 10^{25} Hz.

??? True or false. An element can only exist as an individual atom.
KengaRu [80]
I think it's false because Oxygen is diatomic so it's found as O2 which means that it has two atoms of itself.

Please help me :Find the resultant of two forces of 1.5N and 2.0N at 90 degrees to each other, with the 1.5N force acting vertic
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

resultant force = (f1²+f2²)½

=(1.5²+2²)½

=(2.25+4)½

=(6.25)½

=2.5

Explanation:

okay this question seems easy. now if the 1.5 is vertically upwards so is that 2 is horizontally downwards hence as u say its 90 degrees thn it forms a right angled triangle.
