Iron has a melting point greater than room temperature, as its particles are arranged.

Technically, the answer is iron. Oxygen has a melting point way below zero (-219 degrees celsius), ice becomes water AT room temperature and bromine is already a liquid at room temperature. So, iron has a melting point greater than room temperature due to the fact that metals are made up of giant structures of atoms in a regular arrangement, and there are strong forces of electrostatic attraction between positive metal ions and negative electrons, meaning that a lot of heat energy is required to break the bonds, i.e. a very high melting point, approx. 1500 degrees celsius. Hope this helps.

To show the electron configuration for an atom, what is the advantage of using an orbital notation compared to a dot structure?
stich3 [128]
The advantage of using an orbital notation is that it shows the electron distribution in shells.

Dot structures only show the valence electrons of an atom which are the electrons found at the outermost shell. The orbital notation gives a more detailed depiction of the electrons in each shell. This is most advantageous for atoms that have special cases.

Some examples of atoms that have special electronic configurations are copper and chromium. For example, copper is more stable when the 3d subshell is completely filled. This leaves the 4s subshell with only 1 electron. Chromium is also more stable when its s and d subshells are only half full. The orbital notation depicts these special cases, whereas the dot structure does not.

lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

When two or more atoms chemically bond together, they form a molecule. When molecules are made from two or more different kinds of atoms, the substances are called compounds. If molecules are made from only one kind of atom, the substances are elements.

A solution in which the pH is 1.6 would be described as
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

a. very acidic

Explanation:

A solution with a pH of 1.6 would be described as a very acidic solution.

The pH scale is a convenient scale for expressing the level of acidity or alkalinity of aqueous solutions.

The scale ranges from 1 to 14 in which case 1 is the lower limit and 14 the upper limit.

 • An acidic solution has a pH value less than 7. As pH decreases, the acidity of the solution increases.
 • Neutral solutions have a pH of 7
 • An alkaline solution has a pH greater than 7 and the level of alkalinity increases as pH increases.

Explain the equation of the law of equilibrium
KiRa [710]

Answer:

aA(g)+bB(g)⇌cC(g)+dD(g) then the equilibrium constant defined by the equation. Kc=[ C ]c[ D ]d[ A ]a[ B ]b. is found to be a constant quantity depending only on the temperature and the nature of the reaction. This general result is called the law of chemical equilibrium, or the law of mass action.

Explanation: Since kf and kr are constants, the ratio of kf divided by kr must also be a constant. This ratio is the equilibrium constant for the reaction, Kc. The ratio of the concentrations of the reactants and products is known as the equilibrium constant expression.
