The mineral is probably TALC.
Talc is white in colour, it has a dull luster and is very soft, which means that it can be scratched by finger nail. Another mineral which has properties that is almost the same with that of talc is calcite. It is also white in colour and is easily scratched by finger nail, but in its own case, the luster is dull and glassy.

When you drop a 0.43 kg apple, Earth exerts
Archy [21]

Answer:

The acceleration of the earth is 7.05 * 10^-25 m/s²

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

mass of the apple = 0.43 kg

acceleration = 9.8 m/s²

mass of earth = 5.98 * 10 ^24 kg

Step 2: Calculate the acceleration of the earth

Following the third law of Newton F = m*a

F(apple) = F(earth) = m(apple)*a(apple)

F(apple) = 0.43 kg * 9.8 m/s² = 4.214 N

a(earth) = F(apple/earth)/m(earth)

a(earth) = 4.214N /5.98 * 10 ^24 kg

a(earth) = 7.05 * 10^-25 m/s²

The acceleration of the earth is 7.05 * 10^-25 m/s²

What happens when a continental plate splits apart
Tatiana [17]
When plates pull apart underwater, the hot magma instantly rises and spreads itself to form a new ocean floor.Under a continent, the crust splits open to allow magma out. The magma might make its way slowly to the surface, creating warm areas and hot springs or geysers as surface water meets it.Or the magma might explode, bringing into existence a new volcano where there was only cool earth before.
