It does not support her conclusion, because anything that forms an ionic bond with beryllium would not be a metal, and all group 2 elements are metals.

Hope this helps!

Answer: This results does not support her conclusion.

Explanation:

When a scientist performs an experiment and fins out that an element forms an ionic bond with beryllium but not with lithium.

Beryllium is an element of group 2 and it forms an ionic bond with non-metals.

Non-metals are the elements that belong from Group 15 to Group 17.

Therefore, the unknown element must belong to the groups from Group 15 to Group 17.

Hence, her conclusion the the unknown element belong to group 2 is wrong.

Two aircraft rivets, one of iron and the other of copper, are placed in a calorimeter that has an initial temperature of 10°c.
Dominik [7]

a) Copper is at a higher temperature, so the flow of heat will take place from copper to iron. Heat is a form of energy, which always flows from higher temperature to lower temperature.

b) To determine the actual final temperature, the heat capacity of the calorimeter must be known. A calorimeter constant refers to a constant, which quantifies the heat capacity of a calorimeter. It may be determined by using a known amount of heat to the calorimeter and measuring the corresponding change in temperature of the calorimeter.

Suppose that, from measurements in a microscope, you determine that a certain layer of graphene covers an area of 2.60μm2. conve
garri49 [273]
Given that 1 micrometer or micron (um) is equivalent by definition to 1 x 10^-6 m, this means that 1 square micron (um^2) is equivalent to (1 x 10^-6)^2 m^2, or 1 x 10^-12 m^2.

(2.60 um^2) * (1 x 10^-12 m^2 / 1 um^2) = 2.60 x 10^-12 m^2
Therefore the layer of graphene covers an area of 2.60 x 10^-12 m^2.
