When 25.6 g  C_{8} H_{18}   is burned, the moles of CO_2  emitted into the atmosphere is 1.80 mol

<u>Explanation:</u>

The molar mass of octane C_{8} H_{18} is calculated as  8(12) +18(1) = 114 g/mol.

Where atomic mass of Carbon is C=12, and Hydrogen H=1.The sample contains 25.6 g of octane, Therefore

 \frac{25.6 g}{114 g / m o l}=0.225 \mathrm{mol}

The combustion of octane can be written as:

2 C_{8} H_{18}+25 O_{2} \rightarrow 16 C O_{2}+18 H O_{2}

The mole ratio can be represented as:

C O_{2}: C_{8} H_{18} = 16:2 =  8:1.

Hence, the quantity of carbon dioxide emitted is:

\frac{8}{1} \times 0.225 \mathrm{mol} = 1.80 mol

Phosphorus - P - Protons = 15, Electrons = 15, Neutrons = 16 - Non-Metal

Lithium - Li - Protons = 3, Electrons = 3, Neutrons = 4 - Metal

Nitrogen - N - Protons = 7, Electrons = 7, Neutrons = 7 - Non-Metal

Copper - Cu - Protons = 29, Electrons = 29, Neutrons = 34 - Metal

Neon - Ne - Protons = 10, Electrons = 10, Neutrons = 10 - Non-Metal

sorry i don’t know about the other questions but i thought i could help with the table!

Lithium, beryllium, and boron are elements with atomic number 3, 4, and 5, respectively. Even though they are three of the five
Papessa [141]

Explanation:

These elements are rare because:

<u>Helium fuses into the carbon by the combination of three helium nuclei (Z = 2) and one carbon nucleus (Z = 6), therefore bypassing elements with Z= 3, 4 and 5 which are  lithium, beryllium, and boron respectively. Therefore, the fusion processes in cores of the stars do not form these three elements. </u>
