Distance = (speed) x (time)

Distance = (20 m/s) x (500 s)

Distance = (20 x 500) (m·s / s)

Distance = 10,000 m

1. A 1000-kg car moves as speed from 10 m/s to 30 m/s in 20 seconds. What is the average speed? What is the acceleration? What i
kaheart [24]

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of car = 1000kg

initial speed = 10m/s

final speed = 30m/s

time taken = 20s

For centripetal force:

velocity = 5m/s

radius = 30m

Unknown:

Average speed  = ?

Acceleration = ?

Average force = ?

Centripetal force = ?

Solution:

Average speed is the rate of change of distance with time.

In this problem, we were given two speeds and we will simply just find their average. We sum them up and divide by 2

  Average speed =  \frac{initial speed + final speed }{2}

 Average speed = \frac{10 + 30}{2} = 20m/s

Acceleration is the change in the velocity or speed of a body with time.

     Acceleration = \frac{final speed - initial speed }{time}

     Acceleration = \frac{30 - 10}{20} = 1m/s²

Average force on the car is the product of its mass and acceleration:

  Acceleration = mass x acceleration

   Acceleration = 1000 x 1 = 1000N

Centripetal force is the inward pull when a body moves round a fixed center.

It is given as:

  F = \frac{mv^{2} }{r}

m is the mass of the body

v is the velocity

r is the radius

input the parameters:

   F = \frac{1000 x 5^{2} }{30} = 833.3N

Define suspension and list two examples.
tigry1 [53]
<span>Suspension, chemistry definition is a heterogenous mixture, meaning one substance is different from another, when mixed, either of the substance (particularly the solid one), do not mix evenly. It could clearly be seen when one mixes a solution in a suspension state because it forms a cloudy solution, Best example of this is mud. In mud, though there is a mixture of solid and liquid, there is still evident traces of solid particles that do not mix evenly in the solution.</span>
