Which one of the following are appropriate units for measuring volume?

Physics

Stella [2.4K]4 years ago

Among the choices, the most appropriate unit for measuring volume is cubic centimeters. When measuring the volume of an object, 3 dimensions of an object is taken into consideration. By mathematical analysis, it is understandable that the unit would then be cubed since you would be multiplying 3 dimensions.

What is the length of the blues progression in this excerpt?
Gre4nikov [31]
In blues musicians also often refer to chord progressions using Roman numerals, as this facilitates transposing a song to a new key. For example, rock and blues musicians often think of the 12 bar blues as consisting of I, IV and V chords. Thus a simple version of the 12 bar blues might be expressed as I/I/I/I IV/IV/I/I V/IV/I/I. By thinking of this blues progression in Roman numerals, a backup band or rhythm section could be instructed by a band leader to do the chord progression in any key. For example if the band leader asked the band to play this chord progression in the key of C Major, the chords would be C/C/C/C F/F/C/C G/F/C/C.

Two objects exert a gravitational force on 8N on one another what would that force be if the mass of both objects were doubled?
jolli1 [7]
Gravitational force of attraction between two objects can be calculated from the following formula:
F = \frac{m_1 \cdot m_2}{r^{2}}
Where m with subscript stands for mass of the object and r is the distance between them.
When we double the mass of those two objects, distance between them stays the same, while in the numerator we have:
2\cdot m_1 \cdot 2 \cdot m_2 = 4\cdot m_1 \cdot m_2
When numerator in the second case 4 times greater than the 'original' numerator and denominator stays the same, force becomes 4 times greater.

A child is playing on a swing. As long as he does not swing too high the time it takes him to complete one full oscillation will
Aleks [24]

Answer:

We know that for a pendulum of length L, the period (time for a complete swing) is defined as:

T = 2*pi*√(L/g)

where:

pi = 3.14

L = length of the pendulum

g = gravitational acceleration = 9.8 m/s^2

Now, we can think on the swing as a pendulum, where the child is the mass of the pendulum.

Then the period is independent of:

The mass of the child

The initial angle

Where the restriction of not swing to high is because this model works for small angles, and when the swing is to high the problem becomes more complex.
