Answer:

Resistor B

Explanation:

Since resistance is the opposition to the flow of current in a circuit,

first let assume the two resistors are connected in parallel to the voltage, recall that when connection is in parallel, the different amount of current pass through the resistors depending on the value with the small resistor having  a lower resistance effect hence higher current will pass through

The energy dissipated in each resistor can be calculated as

E=\frac{1}{2}IR^{2}t.

from the formula we can conclude that the energy value will be higher for the resistor with small resistance value. hence more heating effect which will cause it to be warm.

Also when connected individually the current flow from the voltage source will pass through the resistor which when we calculate the energy dissipated, the resistor with smaller value will be higher because it will draw more current which will in turn lead to a heating effect and cause the resistor to be warm. Hence we can conclude that the resistance B has greatest resistance value.

What is the resolution limit for a projection type of photolithographic system if the incident wavelength is 365 nm (the i-line
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

Depth of field  = 347.619 nm

Explanation:

wavelenght =  365nm

N.A =0.63

k1= 0.6

so we have that the resolution limit is:

R=k1*A

R=0.6*365

R=219 nm

and the Depth of field needed for the best resolution is:

DoF = Resolution / N.A.

DoF= R/N.A

DoF= 219/0.63

DoF= 347.619 nm

The inverted U-tube is used to measure the pressure difference between two points A and B in an inclined pipeline through which
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

i) 0.610 m or 610 mm

ii) 0.4 m or 400 mm

Explanation:

The pressure difference between the pipes is

a) Air

Pa + πha +Ha = Pb + πhb +Hb

Pa - Pb = π(hb-ha) + Hb-Ha

Relative density of air = 1.2754 kg /m3

Pa - Pb = 1.2754 * 0.4 + (0.3-0.2) = 0.610 m or 610 mm

b) paraffin of relative density of 0.75

Pa - Pb = π(hb-ha) + Hb-Ha

Pa - Pb = 0.75 * 0.4 + (0.3-0.2) = 0.4 m or 400 mm

The distribution of SAT scores of all college-bound seniors taking the SAT in 2014 was approximately normal with mean μ=1497 and
Sav [38]

Answer:

1279

Explanation:

We have the mean u = 1497

Standard deviation sd = 322

We find the x distribution using 25%

P(Z<z) = 0.25

Z = -0.675

From here we use the formula for z score

X = z(sd) + u

X = -0.675*322 + 1497

X = -217.35 + 1497

X = 1279.6

Which is approximately 1279

So we conclude that the maximum sat scores in year 2014that meets with the requirements of this course is 1279
