Answer:

cash flow to stockholders = $39,700

Explanation:

Operating cash flow = $187,000

cash flow to creditors = $71,400

Net working capital = $28,000

Net capital spending =  $47,900

Cash flow to stockholders = ?

CFF = operating cash flow - net working capital - net capital spending

CFF = $187,000 - $28,000 - $47,900 = $111,100

CFF = cash flow to creditors + cash flow to stockholders

cash flow to stockholders = CFF - cash flow to creditors

cash flow to stockholders = $111,100 - $71,400 = $39,700

Hence $39,700 is the amount of the cash flow to stockholders for the last year.

A belt drive was designed to transmit the power of P=7.5 kW with the velocity v=10m/s. The tensile load of the tight side is twi
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

F₁ = 1500 N

F₂ = 750 N

F_{e} = 500 N

Explanation:

Given :

Power transmission, P = 7.5 kW

                                      = 7.5 x 1000 W

                                      = 7500 W

Belt velocity, V = 10 m/s

F₁ = 2 F₂

Now we know from power transmission equation

P = ( F₁ - F₂ ) x V

7500 = ( F₁ - F₂ ) x 10

750 =  F₁ - F₂

750 = 2 F₂ - F₂      ( ∵F₁ = 2 F₂ )

∴F₂  = 750 N

Now F₁ = 2 F₂

        F₁ = 2 x F₂

        F₁ = 2 x 750

        F₁ = 1500 N   ,   this is the maximum force.

Therefore we know,

F_{max} = 3 x F_{e}

where F_{e} is centrifugal force

 F_{e} = F_{max} / 3

                          = 1500 / 3

                         = 500 N

What are the disadvantages of having a liquid cooled engine?
Feliz [49]
One notable disadvantage of liquid cooling over air cooling is that it is considerably costly to set up. Cooling fans are prevalent in the market, and this overabundance of supply means they are cheap. The components of a liquid cooling system can be expensive.

A medium-sized jet has a 3.8-mm-diameter fuselage and a loaded mass of 85,000 kg. The drag on an airplane is primarily due to th
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

F_{thrust} ≅ 111 KN

Explanation:

Given that;

A medium-sized jet has a 3.8-mm-diameter i.e diameter (d) = 3.8

mass = 85,000 kg

drag co-efficient (C) = 0.37

(velocity (v)= 230 m/s

density (ρ) = 1.0 kg/m³

To calculate the thrust; we need to determine the relation of the drag force; which is given as:

F_{drag} = \frac{1}{2} × CρAv²

where;

ρ = density of air wind.

C = drag co-efficient

A = Area of the jet

v = velocity of the jet

From the question, we can deduce that the jet is in motion with a constant speed; as such: the net force acting on the jet in the air = 0

SO, F_{drag}-F_{thrust} = 0

We can as well say:

F_{drag}= F_{thrust}

We can now replace F_{thrust} with F_{drag} in the above equation.

Therefore, F_{thrust} = \frac{1}{2} × CρAv²

The A which stands as the area of the jet is given by the formula:

A=\frac{\pi d^2}{4}

We can now have a new equation after substituting our A into the previous equation as:

F_{thrust} = \frac{1}{2} × Cρ (\frac{\pi d^2}{4})v^2

Substituting our data from above; we have:

F_{thrust} = \frac{1}{2} × (0.37)(1.0kg/m^3)(\frac{\pi(3.8m)^2 }{4})(230m/s)^2

F_{thrust} = \frac{1}{8}   (0.37)(1.0kg/m^3)({\pi(3.8m)^2 })(230m/s)^2

F_{thrust} = 110,990N

F_{thrust}  in N (newton) to KN (kilo-newton) will be:

F_{thrust} = (110,990N)*\frac{1KN}{1,000N}

F_{thrust} = 110.990 KN

F_{thrust} ≅ 111 KN

In conclusion, the jet engine needed to provide 111 KN thrust in order to cruise at 230 m/s at an altitude where the air density is 1.0 kg/m³.

Plssssssssssssss Alexi is writing a program which prompts users to enter their age. Which function should she use?
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

int()

Explanation:

float() is using decimals, so that can't be it, like float(input( "how much does this cost?"))

print() is used to print something, not a user asking, like print("hello")

string() means like a whole, like string( I am good)

By elimination, int() is correct.

Hope this helps!
