Adrian's annual income changes every year because of the following three factors: On average, his salary is 1.2 times the previo

us year's salary. 30% of his income is budgeted for rent. In addition to his salary, Adrian's income increases by $2,300 each year as a result of gifts from family members. If Adrian initially has $52,000 and n denotes the number of years, which recursive equation gives Adrian's annual income as a function of the year, f(n)?

In this question, Adrian initially has $52,000 and his salary is 1.2 times the previous year's salary. This means the income should look like this:52000*1.2^n

30% of his income is budgeted for rent, then the equation should look like this: 30% * income= 30%*(52000*1.2^n)

Adrian's income increases by $2,300 each year as a result of gifts will make this equation:2300n

if you put the 3 equation together you will get
f(n)= 52000*1.2^n - 0.3(52000*1.2^n) +2300n
f(n)= 36400*1.2^n +2300n

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
solong [7]

Answer:

y = -1/2x+4

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 2x-1

This equation is in slope intercept form  y = mx+b  where m is the slope

m=2

A line perpendicular will have a slope that is the negative reciprocal

m = -1/2

Using the slope intercept form

y = mx+b

y = -1/2x+b

and the point given (2,3)

3 = -1/2(2)+b

3 = -1+b

4 =b

y = -1/2x+4  is the equation of a line that is perpendicular to the original line and contains (2,3)

Find the common ratio and the next term for the sequence shown. Express your answers as fractions or as decimals.
Cerrena [4.2K]
The common ratio of the sequence is calculated by dividing the second term by the first term or dividing the third term by the second term. That is,
                               r = 250 / 333 = 0.75
or                            r = 187 / 250 = 0.748 = 0.75
To get the next term, we multiply 187 by 0.75 giving us an answer of 140.25 or 141.

SOLVE FOR X PLEASEE HELP
Ivenika [448]
To solve this, you will have to set up your equation as fractions:

X is to 4 as 4 is to 4+3, or 7

X/4 = 4/7

You will then cross multiply

7x = 4•4
7x = 16

Divide.

X = 2.285714...

Round to the nearest hundredth.
