The independent variable in any experiment is what YOU change
and then you look to see the result of the change.

In this experiment, the independent variable is the wavelength of
the light. (A) Nothing happens until the person doing the experiment
changes the wavelength of the light. When he DOES that, he looks
to see whether it affected the health and behavior of the plants.

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! CORRECT ANSWER ONLY PLEASE!!!

Which wave has the smallest amplitude?
stepladder [879]

Answer: Option (1) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The vertical distance between crest or trough from the origin or equilibrium point is known as amplitude of a wave.

In the given pictures, a wave that shows maximum height from the origin will have the maximum amplitude. Whereas the wave that shows minimum height from the origin will have the smallest amplitude.

Thus, we can conclude that waves shown in option 1 will have the smallest amplitude.

Explain why your PE and KE are usually not both high at the same time (If PE is high then usually KE is low)
levacccp [35]

Answer:

An object can have both kinetic and potential energy at the same time. ... As an object falls its potential energy decreases, while its kinetic energy increases. The decrease in potential energy is exactly equal to the increase in kinetic energy. Another important concept is work.

The latent heat of fusion of alcohol is 50 kcal/kg and its melting point is -54oC. It has a specific heat of 0.60 in its liquid
sashaice [31]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

To melt the alcohol

Heat needed = M . L = 2 . 25 = 50 kcal

To warm up the alcohol

Heat needed = M . sp. ht. . ∆t = 2 . 0.6 . 100 = 120 kcal

Total heat needed = 170 kcal

Assuming that 0.6 kcal/ kg / ˚C is the specific heat and that the answer is wanted in kcal ( a rather odd unit to be in use here.)
