The formula you would use to find the amount of bacteria is a(1+r/n)^nt

1000(1 + 0.06/1)^1t

t = 4

1000(1.06)^4

1000(1.2624769)

1262.47

since you cant have .47 bacteria, we round down to 1262.

Therefore your answer is #2 which is 1262 bacteria.
