The conceptual model focuses on the highest level of abstraction and does not care to show the physical structure of an object, but rather an idea or concept that establishes a reference of how this object is or how that object works.
The conceptual model is the most natural form of the facts and are closer to the reality of the client environment. In the conceptual model the client must be involved in order to obtain the data collection that will support the construction of the entire model.
