 the 7 in the ones place added 1 to the 7 in the tens place so that 7 turns into a 8 which turns the 9 to 10 so you 1 to the 2 in the thousands place and the hundreds tens and ones become 0

Since we are rounding to the nearest hundreds place in 222,977 the hundreds would be the 9. The seven behind it would make the number round up since the rule is 0-5 round down 6-9 round up. you round the 9 up to 10 so you add 1 to the next number since you cant have 222,1000. thats wrong . the answer is
223,000

Kate buys 10 tickets to a show. She also pays a $5 Parking fee. she spent $35 to see the show. what is the equation to this prob
zepelin [54]

Answer:

(35 - 5)/10 = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

She paid 35 alltogether and 5$ was for parking, so we can subtract that. Then 30/10 is equal to 3 so she spent 3 dollars for each ticket!

Trig. help. How does <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=2sin%20%28%5Cfrac%7B1%7D%7B2%7D%20x%29cos%28%20%5Cfrac%7B1%7D%7B2%7D%20x%

Recall that 2sin(x) cos(x) is actually equal to sin(2x).

We can prove this by expanding sin(2x) to sin(x + x).
sin(x + x) = sin(x) cos(x) + cos(x) sin(x) = 2sinxcosx

Thus, 2sin(x/2)cos(x/2) can be rewritten in the form:
sin(2x/2), and this simplifies down to sinx.

Which statements about the hyperbola are true? Check all that apply. A. There is a focus at (0,−10). B. There is a focus at (0,
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

A. There is a focus at (0,−10).

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume the hyperbola is like the one below.

The hyperbola is vertical and centred on the y-axis, so its general equation is

\dfrac{y^{2}}{a^{2}} - \dfrac{x^{2}}{b^{2}} = 1

The vertices of your parabola are (0,±8) so a = 8.

The covertices are (±6,0), so b = 6.

Calculate c

\begin{array}{rcl}a^{2} + b^{2} & = & c^{2}\\8^{2} + 6^{2} & = & c^{2}\\64 + 36 & = & c^{2}\\100 & = & c^{2}\\c & = & \mathbf{10}\\\end{array}

A. Foci

The foci are at (0, ±c) = (0, ±10)

TRUE. There is a focus at (0,-10).

B. Foci

The foci are at (0,±10).

False. There is no focus at (0,12)

C. and D. Asymptotes

The equations for the asymptotes are

y = \pm\dfrac{a}{b}x = \pm\dfrac{8}{6}x = \pm\dfrac{4}{3}x

So, y = ±x are not asymptotes.

False.

E. and F. Directrices

The equations of the directrices are

y = ±a²/c = ±64/10 = ±6.4

y = 6.4 is a directrix.

E is false. x = cannot be a directrix

F is uncertain. Your equation for the directrix is incomplete.
