You expand out the left side which gives you 18p-3 = 11p-45 then you bring 11p over to the other side by subtracting it from both sides, and you bring 3 over to the other side by adding it to both sides. That will leave you with 7p=-42 you divide both sides by 7 and get

P=(-6)

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

3(6p - 1) = 11p- 45

18p - 3 = 11p - 45

18p = 11p - 42

7p = - 42

-42/7

p = 6

A right cylinder has a radius of 3 and a height of 12. What is its surface area?
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

Surface Area = 283

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius = 3

Height = 12

Formula for suface area is SA= 2πrh+2πr^2

let "r" be for radius

let "h" be for height

SA=2*π*3*12+2*π*3^2

SA=282.74

round to the nearest ones spot and that will make the surface area = 283

If the original number is 15 and the new number is 5, what is the percent decrease?
Arlecino [84]
When a quantity grows (gets bigger), then we can compute its PERCENT INCREASE:

[beautiful math coming... please be patient] PERCENT INCREASE=(new amount−original amount)original amountPERCENT INCREASE=(new amount−original amount)original amount

Some people write this formula with 100%100% at the end,
to emphasize that since it is percent increase, it should be reported as a percent.

So, here's an alternate way to give the formula:

PERCENT INCREASE=(new amount−original amount)original amount⋅100%PERCENT INCREASE=(new amount−original amount)original amount⋅100%

Recall that 100%=100⋅1100=1100%=100⋅1100=1 .
So, 100%100% is just the number 11 !
Multiplying by 11 doesn't change anything except the name of the number!
Hope this helps
