On a trip a motorist travels at 80 km/h for the first 200 km, and 60 km/h for the remainder of the trip. If the trip is 300 km i

n total, calculate the average speed for the whole trip.

The average speed is equal to the total distance over total time. We can first find the time taken for each parts of the trip, since we already have the total distance.

Time taken for first part: 200/80 = 2.5h

Second part: 100/60 = 5/3h

Now find the average speed:
300/(2.5+5/3)
= 72km/h

What energy change is associated with the reaction to obtain one mole of H2 from one mole of water vapor? The balanced equation
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

ΔH = 249 kJ/mol

Explanation:

The balanced reaction is:

2H₂O(g) → 2H₂(g) + O₂(g)    (1)

To calculate the energy change to obtain one mole of H₂(g) from one mole of H₂O(g), the coefficients of the reaction (1) must be halved:

H₂O(g) → H₂(g) + 1/2O₂(g)    (2)

The enthalpy of the reaction (2) is given by:

\Delta H = \Delta H_{r} - \Delta H_{p}

Where \Delta H_{r}: is the bond enthalpy of reactants and \Delta H_{p}: is the bond enthalpy of products.

For the reactants we have the next bond energies:

2 x (H-O) = 2 x (467)

And the bond energies for the products are:

H-H + (1/2) (O=O) =  436 + (1/2)(498)

So, the enthalpy of the reaction (2) is:

\Delta H = 2 \cdot 467 kJ/mol - 436 kJ/mol - \frac{1}{2} \cdot 498 kJ/mol = 249 kJ/mol

I hope it helps you!

Why are we mentley unstable to time travle
leva [86]

Answer:

Mental time travel has been studied by psychologists, cognitive neuroscientists, philosophers and in a variety of other academic disciplines. Major areas of interest include the nature of the relationship between memory and foresight, the evolution of the ability (including whether it is uniquely human or shared with other animals), its development in young children, its underlying brain mechanisms, as well as its potential links to consciousness, the self, and free will.

Degrees of loudness and softness in music are called dynamics. I don’t really have an explanation for this, that’s just what they’re called. I know because I’m a violinist and learned it when I first started playing.
