Granulated sugar has a greater surface area showing than sugar cubes do. Since it has more surface area showing, more sugar molecules can interact with the water at the same time allowing it to dissolve faster than a cube of sugar where only the molecules on the outside of the cube are exposed to the water.

1. Graph a wave with an
kiruha [24]

Answer:

y = 5cos(\frac{2\pi }{6} x)

Explanation:

You can put that equation into a program like desmos on your browser and take a screenshot or use windows snippet tool.

Equation of a Wave: y = Acos(((2*pi)/B)x)

or

y = Acos(\frac{2\pi }{B} x)

A = Amplitude

B= Wavelength

the formula of calcium oxide is CaO. What is the formula of the ionic compound containing calium abd sulfate ions
sineoko [7]

Answer:

CaS

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since calcium's oxidation state when forming ionic bonds is +2 and sulfur's oxidation state when bonding those bonds is -2, for the required formula we write:

Ca^{2+}S^{2-}

Now, since they have the same charge number, we infer the ionic compound formed when they bond is calcium sulfide:

CaS

Determine the maximum number of moles of product that can be produced from 7.0 mol al and 8.0 mol cl2 according to the equation
Vilka [71]
The balanced chemical reaction is

2al + 3cl2 = 2alcl3

To determine the maximum amount of product, we need to determine which is the limiting reactant. Then, use the initial amount of that reactant to calculate the amount of the product that would be produced. We do as follows:

7 mol Al (3 mol Cl2 / 2 mol Al) = 10.5 mol Cl2
8 mol Cl2 ( 2 mol Al / 3 mol Cl2) = 5.3 mol Al
Thus, it is Cl2 that is the limiting reactant.

8 mol Cl2 ( 2 mol AlCl3 / 3 mol Cl2) = 5.3 moles of AlCl3 is produced
