There are two external force acts on the chair.

1. The force due to earth gravity, acts in the downward direction.

2. Reaction force of the gravity, which acts in the Upward direction (Normal Force).

On every object, there is a force acts due to gravity of earth, which pulls the object towards the centre of earth, known as gravity force, always acts in the downward direction. Mathematically it's given as

F=mg

here, m is the mass of the object, and g is the acceleration of gravity.

To balance this gravity force, a counter force acts in the opposite direction, whose magnitude is equal to the force of gravity

 The two forces will act on the chair i.e. mg and N.

Further Explanation:

Free body diagram is the graphical representation or illustration of all the forces applied on the body with their directions. This helps us to visualize all the applied forces on the body with their directions and make us possible to solve complex problems based on kinematics.

The normal force which is always perpendicular to the surface of the object and there is force due to gravity of the earth which pulls the object toward the center of the earth given by F=mg. Its magnitude depends upon the mass of the body and expressed as mg. Here, the term g is called acceleration due to gravity and it has a constant value of 9.81{\text{ m/}}{{\text{s}}^{\text{2}}} .

Concept:

The chair is represented as a point particle of mass m.

The diagram is drawn as shown in Figure 1.

The chair has two forces acting in two directions, upward and downward direction.

• The upward normal force or the reaction force.

• The downward force due to gravity of the earth.

The normal force is equal to the magnitude of the force due to gravity but opposite in direction to balance the force due to gravity.

A research submarine has a 30-cm-diameter window that is 8.1 cm thick. The manufacturer says the window can withstand forces up
malfutka [58]

The pressure at a certain depth underwater is:

P = ρgh

P = pressure, ρ = sea water density, g = gravitational acceleration near Earth, h = depth

The pressure exerted on the submarine window is:

P = F/A

P = pressure, F = force, A = area

The area of the circular submarine window is:

A = π(d/2)²

A = area, d = diameter

Set the expressions for the pressure equal to each other:

F/A = ρgh

Substitute A:

F/(π(d/2)²) = ρgh

Isolate h:

h = F/(ρgπ(d/2)²)

Given values:

F = 1.1×10⁶N

ρ = 1030kg/m³ (pulled from a Google search)

g = 9.81m/s²

d = 30×10⁻²m

Plug in and solve for h:

h = 1.1×10⁶/(1030(9.81)π(30×10⁻²/2)²)

h = 1540m

8. The fact that voltage can be created by exerting force on a crystal is used in which type of sensor?
AfilCa [17]

Option C

The fact that voltage can be created by exerting force on a crystal is used in Knock sensor

<u>Explanation:</u>

Any knock to an engine exhibits as a little shake that is distinguished by the knock sensor. This sensor acts by altering the fluctuation to an electrical sign, which is later transferred to the processor mastering the ignition system.

There the variation in quake to the voltage sign modifies the timing improvements on the kindling. The knock sensor is placed on the engine base, cylinder cap or consumption manifold. This is because its purpose is to sense fluctuations affected by engine knock or explosion.

A uniform thin wire is bent into a quarter-circle of radius a = 20.0 cm, and placed in the first quadrant. Determine the coordin
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

r_{cm}=[12.73,12.73]cm

Explanation:

The general equation to calculate the center of mass is:

r_{cm}=1/M*\int\limits {r} \, dm

Any differential of mass can be calculated as:

dm = \lambda*a*d\theta  Where "a" is the radius of the circle and λ is the linear density of the wire.

The linear density is given by:

\lambda=M/L=M/(a*\pi/2)=\frac{2M}{a\pi}

So, the differential of mass is:

dm = \frac{2M}{a\pi}*a*d\theta

dm = \frac{2M}{\pi}*d\theta

Now we proceed to calculate X and Y coordinates of the center of mass separately:

X_{cm}=1/M*\int\limits^{\pi/2}_0 {a*cos\theta*2M/\pi} \, d\theta

Y_{cm}=1/M*\int\limits^{\pi/2}_0 {a*sin\theta*2M/\pi} \, d\theta

Solving both integrals, we get:

X_{cm}=2*a/\pi=12.73cm

Y_{cm}=2*a/\pi=12.73cm

Therefore, the position of the center of mass is:

r_{cm}=[12.73,12.73]cm

The sum of the initial and final velocity is divided by 2 to find the average. The average velocity calculator uses the formula that shows the average velocity (v) equals the sum of the final velocity (v) and the initial velocity (u), divided by 2.
