What is the correct term for living the most sustainable life you can within your current circumstances?

Chemistry

Answer:    Sustainable living

Explanation: It is a lifestyle by which an individual uses natural resources only as much as is necessary, which means in limited quantities, and thus reduces the general enormous exploitation of these resources. In this way, the needs of the individual are met and resources are put to use for generations to come. It also refers to personal resources as well as Earth resources in general.

It is obvious from today's point of view that if food was produced only as much as needed, it would mean not throwing away food, everyone, both those who could otherwise afford food and those who are now starving, would be fed up.

With the reduction of production not only of food but also of other necessities, that is, with production to meet the needs and not beyond, there would be less pollution and less emission of harmful hags and greenhouse effect.

If a reaction occurs, what will be the products of the unbalanced reaction below?Zn(s) + HCl(aq) -->
irakobra [83]

The products will be ZnCl_2(s) + H_2(g)

<h3>Chemical reactions</h3>

Zn is higher than hydrogen in the reactivity series. Thus, it will be able to displace hydrogen from the acid.

The equation of the reaction becomes: Zn(s) + HCl(aq) -- > ZnCl_2 (s) + H_2 (g)

Hydrogen gas is released as a result. In fact, it is one of the ways of preparing hydrogen gas in the laboratory.

g When aqueous solutions of and are mixed, a solid forms. Determine the mass of solid formed when 140.7 mL of 0.1000 M is mixed
solong [7]

The question is incomplete, the complete question is:

When aqueous solutions of NaCl and Pb(NO_3)_2 are mixed, a solid forms. Determine the mass of solid formed when 140.7 mL of 0.1000 M NaCl is mixed with an excess of an aqueous solution of

<u>Answer:</u> The mass of lead chloride produced is 1.96 g

<u>Explanation:</u>

Molarity is defined as the amount of solute expressed in the number of moles present per liter of solution. The units of molarity are mol/L. The formula used to calculate molarity:

\text{Molarity of solution}=\frac{\text{Moles of solute}\times 1000}{ \text{Volume of solution (mL)}} .....(1)

Given values:

Molarity of NaCl = 0.1000 M

Volume of the solution = 140.7 mL

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

0.1000=\frac{\text{Moles of NaCl}\times 1000}{140.7}\\\\\text{Moles of NaCl}=\frac{0.1000\times 140.7}{1000}=0.01407mol

The chemical equation for the reaction of NaCl and lead nitrate follows:

Pb(NO_3)_2(aq)+2NaCl(aq)\rightarrow PbCl_2(s)+2NaNO_3(aq)

By the stoichiometry of the reaction:

If 2 moles of NaCl produces 1 mole of lead chloride

So, 0.01407 moles of NaCl will produce = \frac{1}{2}\times 0.01407=0.007035mol of lead chloride

The number of moles is defined as the ratio of the mass of a substance to its molar mass.

The equation used is:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}} ......(2)

Molar mass of lead chloride = 278.1 g/mol

Plugging values in equation 2:

\text{Mass of lead chloride}=(0.007035mol\times 278.1g/mol)=1.96g

Hence, the mass of lead chloride produced is 1.96 g

A 7.12 L cylinder contains 1.21 mol of gas A and 4.94 mol of gas B, at a temperature of 28.1 °C. Calculate the partial pressure
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

P_A=4.20atm\\\\P_B=17.1atm

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since the equation for the ideal gas is:

PV=nRT

For each gas, given the total volume, temperature (28.1+273.15=301.25K) and moles, we can easily compute the partial pressure as shown below:

P_A=\frac{n_ART}{V} =\frac{1.21mol*0.082\frac{atm*L}{mol*K}*301.25K}{7.12L} \\\\P_A=4.20atm\\\\P_B=\frac{n_BRT}{V} =\frac{4.94mol*0.082\frac{atm*L}{mol*K}*301.25K}{7.12L} \\\\P_B=17.1atm

Best regards!

Which of the following has no electrons? Use a periodic table. Question 1 options: H He H– He 2+ Save
Elodia [21]

An electron is a negatively charged subatomic particle present in the space outside the nucleus of an atom. The loss of electron from an atom results in the formation of cation whereas gaining of electron by an atom results in the formation of anion. The cation possesses positive charge due to loss of electron and anion possesses negative charge due to gain of electron.

The neutral atom has no charge on it.

For given atomic symbols:

  • H

The atomic number of hydrogen is 1 and the given symbol has no charge that means it is in its neutral state. So, the number of electrons in H is 1.

  • He

The atomic number of helium is 2 and the given symbol has no charge that means it is in its neutral state. So, the number of electrons in He is 2.

  • H^{-}

The atomic number of hydrogen is 1 and the given symbol has a negative charge that represents a gain of electron. So, the number of electrons in H^{-} is 2.

  • He^{2+}

The atomic number of helium is 2 and the given symbol has two positive charge that represents loss of two electrons. So, the number of electrons in He^{2+} is 0.

Hence, He^{2+} has no electrons.
