why it is not possible to determine drift velocity of electron by timing its travel through conductor.

The main reason is that electrons are too small to see.

But even if you could see them, a better reason is the fact that
all electrons are identical.  So if you spotted one electron on its
way into the conductor, and then start watching the other end to
see when your electron gets there, you would see trillions of trillions
of trillions of electrons pouring out over there, and you'd have no way
to tell which electron is the one you're waiting for.

According to the "Law of Increasing Opportunity Costs," what would be the opportunity cost of a student who is staying up all ni
kodGreya [7K]

C. The opportunity cost of a student who is staying up all night to study for an exam that he has to take in the early morning is sleep or rest.

<h3>What is law of opportunity cost?</h3>

The law of increasing opportunity cost is an economic principle that describes how opportunity costs increase as resources are applied.

As the student gives up his sleep or night rest in the place of his exam preparation, we say that the opportunity cost is the sleep or rest.

Thus, the opportunity cost of a student who is staying up all night to study for an exam that he has to take in the early morning is sleep or rest.

The half-life of the reaction gets shorter as the initial concentration is increased. True or False
Art [367]

True

The half-life isn’t applicable to a first order reaction because it does not rely on the concentration of reactant present. However the 2nd order reaction is dependent on the concentration of the reactant present.

The relationship between the half life and the reactant is an inverse one.

The half life is usually reduced or shortened with an increase in the concentration and vice versa.

What's the difference between meteoroids, meteorites, and meteors?
SVEN [57.7K]

You're talking about a grain of sand or a stone or a rock that's drifting in space, and then the Earth happens to get in the way, so the stone falls down to Earth, and it makes a bright streak of light while it's falling through the atmosphere and burning up from the friction.

-- While it's drifting in space, it's a <em>meteoroid</em>.

-- While it's falling through the atmosphere burning up and making a bright streak of light, it's a <em>meteor</em>.

-- If it doesn't completely burn up and there's some of it left to fall on the ground, then the leftover piece on the ground is a <em>meteorite</em>.

NEED ANSWER ASAP!!! Angela has a bucket of mass 2 kg tied to a string. She places a drinking glass of mass 0.5 kg in the bucket.
Schach [20]

a. The free-body diagram for the glass when it is at the top of the circle is attached below.

b. The equation for the net force on the glass at the top of the circle in terms of w, Fn, m, v, and r is mg x g + N -  mg x Vtop² /R =0

c. The glass will fall out of the bucket if the normal force between the glass and bucket equals zero. The speed with which she spin the bucket to prevent this from happening is 3.83 m/s.

d. The string will break if the tension on it is more than 100 N. The range of speeds can  prevent the string from breaking is 3.83< Vtop<4.99 m/s

<h3>What is Net force?</h3>

When two or more forces are acting on the system of objects, then the to attain equilibrium, net force must be zero.

Given, Angela has a bucket of mass 2 kg tied to a string. She places a drinking glass of mass 0.5 kg in the bucket. She spins the bucket in a vertical circle of radius 1.5 m. She must swing the bucket to keep the glass from falling out.

a. The free body diagram of the bucket and glass is attached below.

b. Bucket will undergo centrifugal force

Fb = mVtop² /R

From the equilibrium of forces, we have

For bucket,

T +mb xg - N =  mb x Vtop² /R..............(1)

For glass,

mg x g + N =  mg x Vtop² /R..............(2)

Thus, this is the net force equation on the glass.

c. On adding both the equations. we have

T + (mb + mg) xg = (mb + mg) Vtop² /R

Substituting the values, T = 0 and from the question, we get

0 + (2+0.5) 9.81 = (2+0.5)(Vtop²/0.5)

Vtop = 3.83 m/s

Thus, the speed of spin to prevent glass from falling out is 3.83 m/s

d. The string will break if the tension on it is more than 100 N

100 + (2+0.5) 9.81 = (2+0.5)(Vtop²/0.5)

Vtop = 4.99 m/s

Thus, the range of velocity is  3.83< Vtop<4.99 m/s

I've been getting this question wrong and i still don't know it.
RideAnS [48]

Answer: Option (A) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Laser helps in zooming an image on which it is directed or falls so that it becomes easier for a large population to understand what the teacher or guide is talking about.

For example, when Greg is giving slide show presentation to a large audience then in order to make his slides visualized by everyone in the room he uses laser.

Therefore, we can conclude that a laser best help him with the presentation as he can use the laser to enlarge images on the slides.
