Answer:

The answer to your question is 122.4 g of O₂

Explanation:

Data

mass of O₂ = ?

moles of H₂O = 7.65

Process

1.- Write the balanced chemical reaction

                   2H₂O  ⇒  2H₂  +  O₂

2.- Convert the moles of H₂O to grams

molar mass of H₂O = 2 + 16 = 18 g

                    18 g of H₂O ---------------- 1 mol

                      x                ----------------- 7.65 moles

                      x = (7.65 x 18) / 1

                      x = 137.7 g H₂O

3.- Calculate the grams of O₂

                 36 g of H₂O -------------------- 32 g of O₂

              137.7 g of H₂O -------------------  x

                        x = (32 x 137.7) / 36

                       x = 122.4 g of O₂

AlCl3 + Na NaCl + Al Did Cl change oxidation number?
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
Yes. If this is the balanced equation:

AlCl3 + 3Na —— 3NaCl + Al

then Al was reduced from a 3+ oxidation (to neutralize the 3- from the chlorine) to a 0 oxidation (elemental ground state).

Why is it important to write a lab report once the experiment is finished?
cluponka [151]

Answer:

Anyone should be able to read the lab report, repeat the experiment, and get the same results. This is important for scientists. ... They help the scientists know what has been done before and how it was performed. This can help them design experiments for their own research

What happens to a water bottle in a freezer and why
Andrews [41]
The water well begin to freeze and turn into soild. why? because the temperature of the the freezer is getting the water bottle cold so when that cold temperature hits that that bottle which has liquid in it so you should know that when liquid is into cold air it well so be soild so when you put the water bottle in the freezer it will be soild.
and also remember gas - liquid - soild gas change to liquid by hot air and liuid change to soild by clod air
hoped i helped

In Lab 10 you make a stock solution of salicylic acid, and then four dilutions. The stock solution is made by diluting 5.00 ml o
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

Stock  solution =  1.25 *10^-3 M

Dilution 1 = 5*10^-4 M

Dilution 2= 3.75 * 10^-4 M

Dilution 3 = 2.5 *10^-4 M

Dilution 4 = 1.25 *10^-4 M

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

The stock solution is made by diluting 5.00 ml of 1.250 x 10-2 M salicylic acid in 50.00 mL of solution.

Step 2: Calculate the concentration of the stock solution:

M1*V1 = M2*V2

⇒ with M1 = the initial concentration = 1.250 *10^-2 M

⇒ with V1 = 5 mL = 5*10^-3 L

⇒ with M2 = TO BE DETERMINED

⇒ with V2 = 50 mL = 50 *10^-3 L

M2 = (M1*V1)/V2

M2 = (1.250 *10^-2 * 5*10^-3 L) / 50 *10^-3

M2 = 0.00125 M = 1.25 *10^-3 M

Step 3: Calculate dilution 1

M2 = (M1*V1)/V2

M2 = (1.25*10^-3 * 10 *10^-3)/(25*10^-3L)

M2 = 0.0005 M = 5*10^-4 M

Step 4: Calculate dilution 2

M2 = (M1*V1)/V2

M2 = (1.25*10^-3 * 10 * 7.5*10^-3)/(25*10^-3)

M2 = 0.000375 M = 3.75 * 10^-4 M

Step 5: Calculate dilution 3

M2 = (M1*V1)/V2

M2 = (1.25*10^-3 * 5*10^-3) /(25*10^-3)

M2 = 0.00025 M = 2.5 *10^-4 M

Step 6: Calculate dilution 4

M2 = (M1*V1)/V2

M2 = (1.25*10^-3 * 2.5*10^-3)/(25*10^-3)

M2 = 0.000125 M = 1.25 *10^-4 M
