The 5/4 equals to 1 1/4. Convert the 1/4 to eighths (1/8 btw) You multiply the denominator of the fraction to 8, so 4*2 equals 8 and you do the same thing to the 1, the numerator. So 1/4 should be equal to 2/8. Then, 5/4 should equal this = 1 2/8
For 1 3/8 you would add that with 1 2/8. Adding those two whole numbers 1 and 1 it equals two obviously. 3/8 + 2/8 equals 5/8. In the end it would equal 2 5/8 for the answer if I'm not correct.

Answer: 2a^2+22a+−1

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's simplify step-by-step.

2a^2−5a+(9)(3)a−1

=2a^2+−5a+27a+−1

Combine Like Terms:

=2a^2+−5a+27a+−1

=(2a^2)+(−5a+27a)+(−1)

=2a^2+22a+−1

Evaluate 3ab for a=2 and b=3
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

18

Step-by-step explanation:

For this problem, we will simply plug in the values of a and b into the respective variables in the expression 3ab to "evaluate" the expression.

a = 2; b = 3

3ab

Note, that when variables like a and b are smashed with a constant, the use of multiplication is in play.

3ab = 3 * a * b

With this in mind, let's plug in the values of a and b into the expression.

3ab

= 3 (2) (3)

= 3 (6)

= 18

Hence, 3ab evaluated when a=2 and b=3 is 18.

Cheers.
