In each graph, they give you a line.

For part A, they want you to use the Distance Formula which is:

\sqrt{(x2 - x1)^{2}+(y2 - y1)^{2}}

(x2 is supposed to be x sub 2, but I can't put subheadings in the equation tool)

x1, x2, y1, and y2 are the coordinates of the endpoints of the segment.

For part B, they want you to use the Midpoint Formula, which is:

(\frac{x1 + x2}{2}, \frac{y1 + y2}{2})

The coordinate pair you get from the Midpoint Formula is your midpoint.

Hope this helps! :)

Evaluate the following functions at x = 10
g(x)=√(x+1)
V125BC [204]

g(x)=√(x+1)

Let's plug 10 in for x

g(10) = √(10+1)

Simplify the exponents

g(10) = √(11)

This is the exact form but it can also be expressed as a decimal.

√(11) = 3.31662479

You can simplify as needed

Select from the drop - down menus to correctly complete each statement
Stels [109]

In a flowchart proof, statements and conclusions are connected with arrows.

In terms of mathematics, a statement is simply any sentence in which it can be verifiably true or false. A statement cannot be a subjective opinion. It must be an objective fact and there must not be any ambiguity involved. A conclusion is also a statement that derives from the first statement made.

As an example, you can have the simple argument "if it rains, then it gets wet outside". So the box on the left would be "it rains" and the box on the right would be "it gets wet outside". An arrow connecting the two shows the logical flow of how the argument is set up.

See the diagram below.

Side note: the box on the left is also considered the antecedent because it comes before the conclusion.

What is the weight, in Newtons, of a person on Earth whose mass is 90 kilograms? Gravity near the Earth's surface is 9.8 m/s2.
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

W = 882 N

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The weight of a person, W = 90 kg

The value of acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.8 m/s²

We need to find the weight of the person on Earth. The formula for the weight of an object is given by :

W = mg

Substitute all the values,

W = 90 kg × 9.8 m/s²

W = 882 N

So, the weight of the person is equal to 882 N.

Help again. I’m really bad at this.
siniylev [52]

Given the equation of a circle in the form

(x-x_0)^2+(y-y_0)^2=r^2

You have that (x_0,y_0) is the center, and r is the radius.

So, in your case, the center is (-9,6) and the radius is 5.
