Answer: The temperature of the gas reduced to 400K.

Explanation:

Stated that ; The pressure remains the same, that is initial and final pressure equals 1atm.

Applying Charles Law

V1/T1 = V2/T2

Initial volume V1 = 1

Final volume V2 = 1/2 (halved)

Initial temperature T1 =800K

Final temperature T2 = ?

(1/800) = (1/2)/T2

T2 = 800/2

T= 400K

Therefore, when the volume is halved, the temperature reduced also to half ( 400K)

How many milligrams of sodium fluoride are needed to prepare 100 ml of a sodium fluoride stock solution such that a solution con
Anastaziya [24]
The unit ppm (parts per million) should be numerically equal to the unit of mg/L (milligram per liter). First, we determine the volume of the stock solution in L.

     V = (100 mL)(1 L/1000 mL)
     V = 0.1 L

Then, the equation that would allow us to determine the value of mass is,

        C = m/V

where C is concentration, m is mass, and V is the volume.

Substituting the known values,
       2  = m/ 0.1

The value of m from the equation is 0.2.

If you produced 76.10 grams of potassium chloride in the reaction how many grams of potassium were required?
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:39.8375

Explanation:

The mole for the equation is 1:1

Then the molar mass of KCl is 74.5g

Molar mass of k is 39

74.5g of KCl gives 39g of k

76.10g of KCl gives xg of k

X= 76.10×39/74.5

X= 2967.9/7

X= 39.8375

A solution of ammonia has a pH of 11.8. What is the concentration of OH– ions in the solution
lesya692 [45]

~~~~~\text{pH} + \text{pOH} = 14\\\\\implies \text{pOH} = 14- \text{pH}\\\\\implies \text{pOH} = 14 - 11.8\\\\\implies \text{pOH} = 2.2\\\\\text{Now,}\\\\~~~~~~~\text{pOH}= -\log\left[\text{OH}^{-1}\right]\\\\\implies \left[\text{OH}^{-1} \right] = 10^{-\text{pOH}} = 10^{-2.2}~ = 0.006309~M\\\\\text{Hence the concentration of OG}^{-1}~ \text{is 0.006309~M}
