Calf raises are a method of exercising muscles of the lower leg.

The best way to perform this type of an exercise is to adjust the padded  lever of the calf raise machine that will perfectly fit your height.

Then, your shoulders should be placed under the pads and the position of your toes should face the forward. Push the lever by extending your knees and hips until your torso is straight. The knees should be slightly bended. Toes should be facing forward, and this is the starting position.

Heels should be raised as you breathe out and extend your ankles as high as possible and flex your calf. Knee should stay stationary the whole time. Don't bend at all. Hold the position for a while until you start to go back down. Slowly return to your start position while breathing in and lowering the heels as the ankle is bent until the calves are stretched.
