Nylon 6,6 may be formed by means of a condensation polymerization reaction in which hexamethylene diamine [NH2-(CH2)6-NH2] and a

dipic acid react with one another with the formation of water as a byproduct. What masses of (a) hexamethylene diamine and (b) adipic acid are necessary to yield 36 kg of completely linear nylon 6,6? This polymerization reaction occurs according to the following equation:

Answer:

Explanation:

molecular mass of nylon ( C₁₂H₂₂N₂O₂ ) = 226 gm

Molecular mass of adipic acid = 146 gm

Molecular mass of hexamethylenediamine = 116 gm

no of moles of nylon = 36000 / 226

= 159.29

one mole of nylon requires one mole of hexamethylenediamine and one

mole of adipic acid .

159.29 mole of nylon requires 159.29 mole of hexamethylenediamine and 159.29 mole of adipic acid

159.29 mole of hexamethylenediamine

= 159.29 x 116 gm

= 18.48 kg of hexamethylenediamine

159.29 mole of adipic acid = 159.29 x 146 gm

= 23.26 kg .

18.48 kg of hexamethylenediamine and 23.26 kg of adipic acid will be required.

What occurs as two atoms of fluorine combine to become a molecule of fluorine?
algol [13]
When two atoms of Florine combines, they share an electron pair to complete it's octet. This result is formation of single bond between two fluorine atoms. This process is exothermic in nature, and hence, heat is liberated during the process of bond formation.

Ethyl alcohol (ch3ch2oh) is/is not soluble in water. 1. is; all organic molecules are soluble in water. 2. is; ethyl alcohol exh
nata0808 [166]
Answer:
Ethyl alcohol is soluble in water because ethyl alcohol exhibits dipole-dipole and h-bonding interactions with water.

Explanation:
Ethyl alcohol and water are miscible in each other because both are polar in nature and "Like dissolves Like".
The bond between oxygen and hydrogen atoms, both in alcohol and water are polar in nature and results in intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions between them as hydrogen bonding results when hydrogen atom in one molecule directly attached to highly electronegative atoms like fluorine, oxygen and nitrogen forms interaction with higly electronegative atom of neighbor atom.
