Answer:

Maximum height is20m and time taken will be 2second

Explanation:

vi=20m/s

vf=0m/s

g=10m/s^2

Using third equation for objects falling freely

2gh=(vf)^2-(vi)^2

Putting values

2(10m/s^2)h=(0m/s)^2-(20m/s)^2

20h=400m

h=20m

Now we have to find the time

Using first equation of motion for objects falling down freely

vf=vi+at

substituting the equation

(vf-vi)/g=t

(0-20)/10=t

t=2second

If a 15-ohm resistor is connected in parallel with a 30 ohm-resistor, the equivalent resistance is?
Bad White [126]

Answer:

Explanation:

in parallel combination equivalent resistence =

1/R=1/R1 + 1/R2

1/2=1/15+1/30

1/2=1*2+1*1/30

1/R=3/30

R*3=30*1

R=30/3

R=10 ohm

An electron moving along the x axis has an initial speed of 1 × 106 m/s at the origin. Its speed is reduced to 5 × 105 m/s at th
mina [271]

Answer:

-2.13 V

Explanation:

Given parameters are:

v_i = 1 * 10^6 m/s

v_f = 5 * 10^5 m/s

q = -e = 1.602 * 10^{-19} C

m = 9.109 * 10^{-31} kg

By conservation of energy principle, we know that the potential difference between two points is equal to the change in the kinetic energy between these points.

-\Delta U = \Delta KE\\\\-e\Delta V = \frac{1}{2} mv_f^2 - \frac{1}{2} mv_i^2

Hence,

1.602*10^{-19}\Delta V = \frac{1}{2}*9.11*10^{-31}((5*10^5)^2 - (1*10^6)^2)

⇒ \Delta V = -2.13 V

4. A meter has a resistance of 100 Ω and gives a full scale deflection when it carries a current of 25 μA. (a) What resistor, Rx
frez [133]

Answer:

A=50mΩ

B≅50mΩ

Explanation:

A) To answer this question we have to use the Current Divider Rule. that rule says:

Ix=.\frac{Req}{Rx} *Itotal (1)

Itotal represents the new maximun current, 50mA, Ix is the current going through the 100 ohms resistor, and Req. is the equivalent resitor.

We now have a set of two resistor in parallel, so:

Req.=\frac{1}{\frac{1}{R1}+\frac{1}{R2}  } (2)

where R1 is the resitor we have to calculate, and R2 is the 100 ohms resistor (25 uA).

substituting and rearranging (2)

Req.=\frac{ 100*R1}{R1+100} (3)

Now substituting (3) in (1).

25*10^{-6} =\frac{\frac{ 100*R1}{R1+100}}{100} *50*10^{-3}

solving this, The value of R1 is: 50mΩ

This value of R1 will guaranty that the ammeter full reflection willl be at 50mA.

Given that R2 (100ohm) it too much bigger than 50mΩ, the equivalent resistor will tend to 50mΩ

If you substitude this values on (2) Req. will be 49.97 mΩ.

When you walk with a cup of coffee (diameter5 cm) at just the
vladimir1956 [14]

Answer:

10 cm/sec

Explanation:

using formula velocity = frequency * wave length

where: f=1/T

1/1=1

so frequency will be 1HZ ( due to 1 oscillation in 1 sec)

wave length will be 10 cm because while sloshing cup hold (1/2) half full length.

velocity = 1*10 = 10cm/sec.

velocity = 10 cm/sec
