Answer:

12 m/s

Explanation:

a = v² / r

78 m/s² = v² / 2.0 m

v = 12.49 m/s

Rounding to two significant figures, the speed is 12 m/s.

What color of light can plants "see"?
mars1129 [50]
As you know, plants are usually green, which means that most other colors are absorbed. One of the most common pigments is called chlorophyll, and one of the varieties is responsible for the green color of plants; it strongly absorbs blue and redlight, which leaves only the green light to make it to our eyes.

What happens to the iron in the coilgun if the electricity in the coil was turned on
Andrews [41]

 • The piece of iron has become a magnet. Some substances can be magnetized by an electric current. When electricity runs through a coil of wire, it produces a magnetic field. The field around the coil will disappear, however, as soon as the electric current is turned off.

How fast (in rpm) must a centrifuge rotate if a particle 7.3 cm from the axis of rotation is to experience an acceleration of 1.
guajiro [1.7K]

The formula we use here is:

radial acceleration = ω^2 * R

110,000 * 9.81 m/s^2 = ω^2 * 0.073 m
ω^2 = 110,000 * 9.81 / 0.073
ω = 3844.76 rad/s

and since: ω = 2pi*f --> f = ω/(2pi)
f = 3844.76 / (2pi) = 611.91 rps = 611.91 * 60 rpm
= 36,714.77 rpm
