Given:

Mass of calcium nitrate (Ca(NO3)2) = 96.1 g

To determine:

Theoretical yield of calcium phosphate, Ca3(PO4)2

Explanation:

Balanced Chemical reaction-

3Ca(NO3)2 + 2Na3PO4 → 6NaNO3 + Ca3(PO4)2

Based on the reaction stoichiometry:

3 moles of Ca(NO3)2 produces 1 mole of Ca3(PO4)2

Now,

Given mass of Ca(NO3)2 = 96.1 g

Molar mass of Ca(NO3)2 = 164 g/mol

# moles of ca(NO3)2 = 96.1/164 = 0.5859 moles

Therefore, # moles of Ca3(PO4)2 produced = 0.0589 * 1/3 = 0.0196 moles

Molar mass of Ca3(PO4)2 = 310 g/mol

Mass of Ca3(PO4)2 produced = 0.0196 * 310 = 6.076 g

Ans: Theoretical yield of Ca3(PO4)2 = 6.08 g

What are three units you can measure moler mass in
liraira [26]

By looking at a periodic table, we can conclude that the molar mass of lithium is 6.94g, the molar mass of zinc is 65.38g, and the molar mass of gold is 196.97g. Each of these quantities contains 6.02×1023 atoms of that particular element. The units for molar mass are grams per mole, or g/mol.

So The answers are Lithium, Gold, Zinc

Hope This Helps

The chemical equation for the formation of ammonia is unbalanced.
galben [10]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 2 molecules

Explanation:

Unbalanced chemical reaction

                   H₂(g) + N₂(g) ⇒ NH₃ (g)

         Reactants Elements Products

                2 H 3

                2 N 1

Balanced chemical reaction

                   3H₂(g) + N₂(g) ⇒ 2NH₃ (g)

         Reactants Elements Products

                6 H 6

                2 N 2

From the balanced chemical reaction we conclude that when 3 molecules of hydrogen react with one molecule of nitrogen, 2 molecules of ammonia will be formed.

How would i balance this equation?
Anna71 [15]
Our coefficients would be:
C12H22O11: 1
O2: 12
CO2: 12
H2O: 11

Why?
With the coefficients, our reactants would be:
12 carbons, 22 hydrogens, and 35 oxygens.

To obey the law of conservation of mass, we would have to have an equal amount of each of those elements on the products side, since so much of that element needs to form an equal amount on the other side.

So, with those coefficiens, our products would be:
12 carbons total, 35 oxygens total, and 22 hydrogens total. If we compare to the reactants side, they are all equal!

And, since 1 or 11 cannot be simplifyed any smaller, we know the equation is completely balanced.

Hope I could help!
