A speaker fixed to a moving platform moves toward a wall, emitting a steady sound with a frequency of 230Hz. A person on the pla

tform right next to the speaker detects the sound waves reflected off the wall and those emitted by the speaker.
How fast should the platform move (in m/s) ,v_p, for the person to detect a beat frequency of 1.00Hz? Take the speed of sound to be 344m/s.

Answer:

v_s = 0.746\ m/s

Explanation:

given,

frequency emitted by the speaker(f) = 230 Hz

beat frequency = 1 Hz

speed of the sound (v)= 344 m/s

velocity of the platform = ?

frequency heard by the observer

f_d = 230 Hz + 1 Hz

f_d = 231 Hz

using ,

f_d = \dfrac{f(v + v_s)}{v-v_s}

231 = \dfrac{230(344 + v_s)}{344-v_s}

231 (344- v_s) = 230(344 + v_s)

(231 -230)344= 230 v_s + 231 v_s

344= 461 v_s

v_s = 0.746\ m/s

***PLEASE HELP WITH ANSWER AND EXPLANATION: Imagine the current in a current-carrying wire is flowing into the screen. What is t
aalyn [17]

Magnetic field direction is given by right hand thumb rule.

If we put our thumb in the direction of current then curl of fingers will show the magnetic field direction around the wire.

Now here since current is going into the screen so we will put our thumb into the screen and then the curl of fingers is clockwise around it.

The magnetic field is clockwise.

So this would be the direction of magnetic field

Given that 11 kg is a familiar weight for a bag of flour. Also, it is given that It takes 500 g of flour to make one batch of cookies.

How many batches of cookies can you make with one bag of flour

Let's first convert 11 kg into grams (g) by multiplying it by 1000

11 × 1000 = 11000 g

Divide 11000 by 500

11000/500 = 22

Therefore, 22 batches of cookies can be made with one bag of flour.

wolverine [178]

Lycaon represents the worst of the iron age in his attempt to feed jupiter once living flesh.

What is iron age?

The iron Age is the final epoch of the three-age division of the prehistory and protohistory of humanity.

It was preceded by the Stone Age, and the Bronze Age.

Who is lycaon?

In Greek mythology, Lycaon was a king of Arcadia who, in the most popular version of the myth, tested Zeus' omniscience by serving him the roasted flesh of Lycaon's own son Nyctimus, in order to see whether Zeus was truly all-knowing.

Thus, Lycaon represents the worst of the iron age in his attempt to feed jupiter once living flesh.
