Inertia IS always present. Inertia is NOT the force that causes objects to continue moving in circles, that is centripetal force. Centripetal force is NOT always present. Centripetal force DOES pull objects toward the center of a circle. Inertia and centripetal force DOES cause circular motion. Thank you and eat sand fren ;)

Name and describe at least SIX engineering challenges that the Mars copter, Ingenuity, had to overcome in order to be built/to t
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

1. Ingenuity is a flight test.

Ingenuity is what is known as a technology demonstration – a project that seeks to test a new capability for the first time, with limited scope. Previous groundbreaking technology demonstrations include the Mars Pathfinder rover Sojourner and the tiny Mars Cube One (MarCO) CubeSats that flew by Mars in 2018.

Ingenuity features four specially made carbon-fiber blades, arranged into two rotors that spin in opposite directions at around 2,400 rpm – many times faster than a passenger helicopter on Earth. It also has innovative solar cells, batteries, and other components. Ingenuity doesn't carry science instruments and is a separate experiment from the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover.

2. Ingenuity will be the first aircraft to attempt controlled flight on another planet.

The time T in seconds for a pendulum of length L feet to make one swing is given by Upper T=2\pi \sqrt((L)/(36)). How long is a
Andreyy89

Answer:

3.6ft

Explanation:

Using= 2*π*sqrt(L/32)

To solve for L, first move 2*n over:

T/(2*π) = sqrt(L/32)

Next,eliminate the square root by squaring both sides

(T/(2*π))2 = L/32

or

T2/(4π2) = L/32

Lastly, multiply both sides by 32 to yield:

32T2/(4π2) = L

and simplify:

8T²/π²= L

Hence, L(T) = 8T²/π²

But T = 2.1

Pi= 3.14

8(2.1)²/3.14²

35.28/9.85

= 3.6feet

A ball is thrown straight down with a speed of Va2.00 from a building 40.00 meters high. How much S time passes before the ball
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

Option C is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Considering vertical motion of ball:-

Initial velocity, u =  2 m/s

Acceleration , a = 9.81 m/s²

Displacement, s = 40 m

We have equation of motion s= ut + 0.5 at²

Substituting

   s= ut + 0.5 at²

    40 = 2 x t + 0.5 x 9.81 x t²

   4.9t²  + 2t - 40 = 0

   t = 2.66 s   or t = -3.06 s

So, time is 2.66 s.

Option C is the correct answer.

A spring with a spring constant of 400 n / M has a mass hung on it so it stretches 8 cm. calculate how much mass the spring is s
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

3.3kg

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Spring constant = 400N/m

Extension  = 8cm  = 0.08m

Unknown:

Amount of mass the spring is supporting = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem:

     F  = kE

F is the force

k is the spring constant

E is the extension

  So;

            F  = 400 x 0.08  = 32N

Mass;

       Force = mass x acceleration due to gravity

          32  = mass x 9.8

  Mass = 3.3kg
