Since the triangle is isosceles, (it has 2 equal angles). We can easily figure out what the outside angles are because they are the same. When finding an outside angle, you subtract the inside angle next to it by 180 degrees for your answer.

180- 35= 145 degrees

The outside angles are equal to 145 degrees.

I hope this helps!

Suppose that you arrive at a bus stop randomly, so all arrival times are equally likely. The bus arrives regularly every 30 minu
Semmy [17]

Answer:

E(x) = 15 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

The random variable X (waiting time)  has a uniform distribution between the interval [0,30], because it is just as likely that you arrive in any time and then your waiting time is minimum 0 minutes and maximum 30 minutes

The expected value  of a random variable uniform is:

E(x) = \frac{a+b}{2}

      Where a and b are the interval's extremes

Thus

E(x) = \frac{0+30}{2}

E(x) = 15 minutes

A triangle has vertices at points (0, 0), (a, b), and (2a, 0). Select all points that lie on the sides of the triangle. A. (a, 0
RSB [31]

Answer:

A. (a, 0)

D. (a/2,b/2)

Step-by-step explanation:

(a, 0) lies on one side of the triangle, because it is between (0,0) and (2a,0)

(0, b) doesn't lie on one side of the triangle, because only the only point with x-coordinate = 0 is (0,0)

(–a, b) doesn't lie on one side of the triangle, because only positive values are valid

Imagine the triangle with vertices (0,0), (a, 0) and (a,b). Let's call β the angle at vertex (0,0)

tan(β) = b/a

For triangle with vertices (0,0), (a/2, 0) and (a/2,b/2)

tan(β) = (b/2)/(a/2) = b/a

then, (a/2,b/2) lies on one side of the triangle

For triangle with vertices (0,0), (a/3, 0) and (a/3,b/4)

tan(β) = (b/4)/(a/3) = (3/4)*(b/a) ≠ b/a

then, (a/3,b/4) doesn't lie on one side of the triangle

Step-by-step explanation:

3*4 = 12

12/6 = whole number

6/4 is not a whole number

12 is the lowest it could be.
