The answers would be 47.6 and 95.2

The solution would be like this for this specific problem:

<span>2 W + 1 W = 3 W = 1400N
W=467N = 467N/(9.8N/kg)= 47.6 kg
2 W  = 95.2kg</span>

<span>I am hoping that these answers have satisfied your queries and it will be able to help you in your endeavors, and if you would like, feel free to ask another question.</span>

Answer:

The scales readings are 933.3 N and 466.7 N.

Explanation:

Given that,

Weight = 1400 N

We need to calculate the reading of scale

We know he has twice the weight on one scale and his total is 1400 N. These can be written as two simultaneous equations .

W=scale_{1}+scale_{2}

1400=scale_{1}+scale_{2}....(I)

scale_{1}=2\times scale_{2}.....(II)

Put the value from equation (II) into equation (I)

1400=2\times scale_{2}+scale_{2}

1400=3 scale_{2}

scale_{2}=\dfrac{1400}{3}

scale_{2}=466.7\ N

Now, Put the value in the equation (I)

1400=scale_{1}+466.7

scale_{1}=1400-466.7

scale_{1}=933.3\ N

Hence, The scales readings are 933.3 N and 466.7 N.

Nikolas had an idea that he could use the compressed carbon dioxide in a fire extinguisher to propel him on his skateboard.
Vikentia [17]
The Newton’s law Nikolas would use to come up with this idea is the <span>Third law that states:

</span><span>When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction on the first body.

So, in this case, let's name the first Body A which is the skateboard and the second body B which is <span>the compressed carbon dioxide in a fire extinguisher. Then, as shown in the figure below, according to the Third law:

Predict whether the changes in enthalpy, entropy, and free energy will be positive or negative for the melting of ice, and expla
BlackZzzverrR [31]
  <span>Melting of ice is an endothermic process, meaning that energy is absorbed. When ice spontaneously melts, ΔH (change in enthalpy) is "positive". ΔS (entropy change) is also positive, because, becoming a liquid, water molecules lose their fixed position in the ice crystal, and become more disorganized. ΔG (free energy of reaction) is negative when a reaction proceeds spontaneously, as it happens in this case. Ice spontaneously melts at temperatures higher than 0°C. However, liquid water also spontaneously freezes at temperatures below 0°C. Therefore the temperature is instrumental in determining which "melting" of ice, or "freezing" of water becomes spontaneous. The whole process is summarized in the Gibbs free energy equation:
ΔG = ΔH – TΔS</span>

A pulley with the radius of 10.0 cm was connected to a motor with a massless
kogti [31]

Answer:

(i) -556 rad/s²

(ii) 17900 revolutions

(iii) 11250 meters

(iv) -55.6 m/s²

(v) 18 seconds

Explanation:

(i) Angular acceleration is change in angular velocity over time.

α = (ω − ω₀) / t

α = (10000 − 15000) / 9

α ≈ -556 rad/s²

(ii) Constant acceleration equation:

θ = θ₀ + ω₀ t + ½ αt²

θ = 0 + (15000) (9) + ½ (-556) (9)²

θ = 112500 radians

θ ≈ 17900 revolutions

(iii) Linear displacement equals radius times angular displacement:

s = rθ

s = (0.100 m) (112500 radians)

s = 11250 meters

(iv) Linear acceleration equals radius times angular acceleration:

a = rα

a = (0.100 m) (-556 rad/s²)

a = -55.6 m/s²

(v) Angular acceleration is change in angular velocity over time.

α = (ω − ω₀) / t

-556 = (0 − 15000) / t

t = 27

t − 9 = 18 seconds
