Rather than run in the school marathon, then decided to run with his brother and his new car. They drove to north from Pinehills

to Silverlight covering a distance of 240 km in four hours. On the way, I stop for a traffic light. When the light change to green, the car started from 0 m/s (stop) in which the speed of 100 m/s in ten seconds
At what average speed did dan drive from pine hills to silver lake?

to calcukate average speed it's unimportant what happened on the way, but we need onky to know total distance d total time.  so average speed was :  240 km / 4 hours = 60 km/h

How to solve this.

Answer:

8.1 s

Explanation:

Draw a free body diagram of the small block.  There are four forces acting on the block:

Applied force F pushing to the right,

Weight force mg pulling down,

Normal force N pushing up,

and friction force Nμ pushing left.

Sum of forces in the y direction:

∑F = ma

N − mg = 0

N = mg

Sum of forces in the x direction:

∑F = ma

F − Nμ = ma

F − mgμ = ma

a = (F − mgμ) / m

Plug in values:

a = (12.2 N − (3.0 kg) (9.8 m/s²) (0.320)) / (3.0 kg)

a = 0.931 m/s²

Next, draw a free body diagram of the larger block.  There are four forces:

Normal force N pushing down (equal and opposite),

Friction force Nμ pushing right (equal and opposite),

Weight force Mg pulling down,

and normal force N₂ pushing up.

Sum of forces in the x direction:

∑F = ma

Nμ = Ma

mgμ = Ma

a = mgμ / M

Plug in values:

a = (3.0 kg) (9.8 m/s²) (0.320) / (11.0 kg)

a = 0.855 m/s²

So the acceleration of the smaller block relative to the larger block is 0.931 m/s² − 0.855 m/s² = 0.0754 m/s².

Given:

Δx = 2.5 m

v₀ = 0 m/s

a = 0.0754 m/s²

Find: t

Δx = v₀ t + ½ at²

2.5 m = (0 m/s) t + ½ (0.0754 m/s²) t²

t = 8.14 s

Rounded to 2 significant figures, it takes 8.1 seconds.

About 0.1 eV is required to break a "hydrogen bond" in a protein molecule. Calculate the minimum frequency and maximum wavelengt
Verdich [7]

Answer:

2.41\cdot 10^{13}Hz, 1.24\cdot 10^{-5}m

Explanation:

The energy of the photon must be equal to 0.1 eV, so let's convert this value into Joules first:

E=0.1 eV \cdot 1.6\cdot 10^{-19} J=1.6\cdot 10^{-20}J

The energy of the photon is related to its frequency by

E=hf

where h is the Planck constant and f is the frequency. Substituting,

f=\frac{E}{h}=\frac{1.6\cdot 10^{-20}J}{6.63\cdot 10^{-34}Js}=2.41\cdot 10^{13}Hz

And now we can find the wavelength of the photon, which is given by

\lambda=\frac{c}{f}

where c is the speed of light. Substituting,

\lambda=\frac{3\cdot 10^8 m/s}{2.41\cdot 10^{13} Hz}=1.24\cdot 10^{-5}m

Use the diagram to help answer these questions.
Arada [10]
The correct answers are as follows:
1. The wave with the larger frequency IS THE ONE AT THE TOP.
The frequency of a wave refers to the number of waves that is passing through a point in a certain time. The unit of frequency is Hertz. Looking at the diagrams above you will notice that the number of waves occurring per time in the top diagram is more that of the diagram below.

2. In the bottom wave, there are two complete wavelengths between 0 and 25 on the X axis.  The first wavelength starts from the point where one is written on the Y axis and end at the opposite end of 1, the second wavelength starts from that point and end at the location corresponding to the top of figure 25 on the X axis.
