A train is approaching you at very high speed as you stand next to the tracks. Just as an observer on the train passes you, you

both begin to play the same recorded version of a Beethoven symphony on identical MP3 players. (a) According to you, whose MP3 player finishes the symphony first?
A. your player,
B. the observer's player,
C. both finish at the same time. (b) According to the observer on the train, whose MP3 player finishes the symphony first?
A. your player,
B. the observer's player,
C. both finish at the same time. (c) Whose MP3 player actually finishes the symphony first?
A. your player,
B. the observer's player,
C. each observer measures his symphony as finishing first,
D. each observer measures the other's symphony as finishing first.

Answer:

a) Your player

b) Observer's player

c) Each measures their own first

Explanation:

Because given problem is having relative velocity to each other. The person sitting on the train is moving with a very high speed relative to the person standing next to the track.

In this case, the clock situated in the train will be running slow with respect to the stationary frame of reference

Naya [18.7K]

<Continuation of the question>

(a) the spring constant (in N/m) and

(b) the weight of the block hanging from the third spring.

the distance for the first spring is 20cm, the second 35cm, the third 50cm.

Answer:

a) To find the spring constant, we'll use the formula

F=kx, if we make k the subject we'll get

k=F/x, where F=4.5N, x = 35cm - 20cm = 15cm = 0.15m

k=F/x = 4.5N/0.15m =  30N/m is the Answer

b) to find the weight of block hanging on third spring

we use the formula F=kx

where k = 30N/m, x=50cm-20cm=30cm=0.30m

F=kx = (30N/m)*(0.30m) = 9N  is the Answer

Aluminum wire 1.00 mm in radius is to be used to construct a solenoid 15.0 mm in radius so that the magnitude of the magnetic fi
Leto [7]

To solve this problem we will proceed to use the equations given for the calculation of the resistance, in order to find the radius of the cable. Once the length is found we can find the number of turns of the solenoid and finally the net length of it

The resistance of the wire is

R= \frac{\rho L}{A}

\rho= Resistivity

L = Length

A = Cross-sectional Area

That can be also expressed as,

R = \frac{\rho L}{\pi r^2}

Rearranging the equation for the length of the wire we have

L= \frac{R\pi r^2}{\rho}

L= \frac{3\Omega \pi(1*10^{-3})}{2.655*10^{-8}\Omega \cdot m}

L = 354.8m

The number of turns of the solenoid is

N = \frac{L}{2\pi r} \rightarrow Denominator is equal to the circumference of the loop

N = \frac{354.8}{2\pi(15*10^{-3})}

N = 3766

Finally the Length of he solenoid is

l = N (\phi)

Where \phi is the diameter of wire

l = N (2r)

l = (3766)(2*(1*10^{-3}))

l = 7.532m

Therefore the length of the solenoid is 7.532m

What are generated at transform fault plate boundaries?
tankabanditka [31]

Answer: The Earth's layer, which has the covering and layer, is made of a progression of things, or structural plates, that creep after some time. Along these lines, at intersecting limits, mainland outside is made and maritime covering is devastated. 2 plates slippy past each other structures a redesign plate limit.
