Answer:

Molality = 7.5 mol/kg

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of NH₄Cl = 6.30 g

Mass of water = 15.7 g (15.7/1000 =0.016 kg)

Molality = ?

Solution:

Formula of molality:

Molality = Moles of solute / mass of solvent in gram

Now we will first calculate the number of moles of solute( NH₄Cl )

Number of moles = mass/ molar mass

Molar mass of  NH₄Cl = 53.491 g/mol

Number of moles = 6.30 g/  53.491 g/mol

Number of moles =  0.12 mol

Now we will calculate the molality.

Molality = Moles of solute / mass of solvent in gram

Molality =  0.12 mol / 0.016 kg

Molality = 7.5 m

or        (m=mol/kg)

Molality = 7.5 mol/kg

A bug walking on the surface of a puddle is depending on what property of water? High surface tension because of the attraction
Anna [14]

A bug walking on the surface of a puddle is depending on HIGH SURFACE TENSION BECAUSE OF THE ATTRACTION BETWEEN WATER MOLECULES.

Water has a lot of interesting properties due to the hydrogen bonds that hold its molecules together. One of the interesting property of water is surface tension.

Surface tension refers to the property of the water surface, which enables it to resist an external force. The cohesive forces among the water molecules is responsible for the surface tension. The surface tension of water allow small animals such as insects to walk on water.

How many grams of H2 are needed to produce 13.33g of NH3?
Zanzabum

The reaction to form NH3 is : N2 + 3H2-> 2NH3 12,33g NH3 is 12,33/17,03=0,3 =0,724 moles of NH3 moles NH3. So you need 1,5*0,724 = 1,086 moles H2 1,086*2,016 = 2,189 g of H2 is needed ro form 12,33 g NH3

A gas at STP has a volume of 1.00 L. If the pressure is doubled and the temperature remains constant, what is the news of the ga
4vir4ik [10]

Answer: PV = nRT

A gas at STP... This means that the temperature is 0°C and pressure is 1 atm.

R is the gas constant which is 0.08206 L*atm/(K*mol)

Rearranging for volume

V = nRT/P

The temperature and number of moles are held constant. This means that this uses Boyle's Law. (The ideal gas law could be manipulated to give us this result when T and n are held constant.)

PV = k

where k is a constant.

This means that

P₁V₁ = k = P₂V₂

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

(1 atm) * (1 L) = (2 atm) * V₂

V₂ = 0.5 L

The new volume of the gas is 0.5 L.
