Because this is 4 sided, it is 360°(in total)

The shape is parallel on 2 sides(shown by the red arrows), so (5x)° = 90°

5x = 90

x = 18°

You can add all the angles together and set it equal to 360°

90° + (5x)° + (5(y+11))° + (4y-10)° = 360°

Since you know 5x is 90°, you can plug it in

90° + 90° + (5(y+11))° + (4y-10)° = 360°

180° + (5(y+11))° + (4y-10)° = 360° Subtract 180° on both sides

(5(y+11))° + (4y-10)° = 180°

5y + 55° + 4y - 10° = 180°

9y + 45° = 180°

9y = 135°

y = 15°

x = 18°, y = 15°

➤ How to solve ?

⠀⠀⠀⠀

That's quite easy but you need to recall the BODMAS rule .

⠀⠀⠀⠀

BODMAS rule states the correct sequence to solve an equation . First we need to solve the bracket part then solve if any of is present moving further to division then multiplication carrying with addition atlast subtraction

⠀⠀⠀⠀

In this equation we will solve the bracket then we will apply further BODMAS rule

⠀⠀⠀⠀

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

SolutiOn :

➠ 7x + 31 = 8x - 1 ( 27x + 3 ) -3

➠ 7x + 31 = 8x - 27x - 3 - 3

Now, we will bring the variable on left hand side and constants on right hand side

➠ 7x - 8x + 27x = - 31 - 3 - 3

➠ 26x = -37

➠ x = -37/ 26

➠ x = - 1.42

∴ The value of x is -1.42 .

When carbon is burned in air, it reacts with oxygen to form carbon dioxide. When 16.8g of carbon were burned in the presence of
dlinn [17]
The balanced chemical reaction is written as:

C + O2 = CO2

We are given the amounts of the reactants to be used in the reaction. We use these values for calculations. Since there is oxygen that is left in the reaction then the limiting reactant would be carbon. We calculate as follows:

16.8 g C ( 1 mol / 12.01 g) ( 1 mol CO2 / 1 mol C ) ( 44.01 g / 1 mol) = 61.56 g CO2 produced

A triangle has side lengths of 10 cm, 24 cm, and 25 cm. Classify it as acute, obtuse, or right.
stepladder [879]
The FYI tells you that it is not a right triangle. The only way I know how to do this is with the Cos law. If you don't know what that is, you will have to draw it to scale.

The cos law tells me that it is acute (all three angles are under 90o). If you need me to show that to you, leave a note for me.
