Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a new drug test needs to be evaluated. The probability of a random person taking drugs is 4%.

The drug test tested positive for a person not taking drugs 2% of the time. The drug test tested negative for a person taking drugs 1% of the time.

                          Tested positive     Tested negative       Total

Having drug               0.98                        0.02                  1.00

not hav drug               0.01                        0.99                   1.00

a)            the probability that a random person tests negative

= Prob ( really negative and test negative) + Prob (positive and test negative)

= 0.96*0.99+0.04*0.02=    0.9504+0.0008=0.9512

b) the probability that a person who tests negative is without any drug problems

= \frac{0.9504}{0.9504+0.0008} \\=0.9992

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute the value of the variable and simplify.

(-(2))^{(2+2)} +2^{(2-2)}

2^{2-2} =2^{0}

Anything raised to the power of 0 is one.

Given f'(x) = (1 − x)(4 − x), determine the intervals on which f(x) is increasing or decreasing.
Sophie [7]
The critical points are at x = 1 and x = 4 giving you the intervals (-inf, 1), (1, 4) and (4, inf).

By substituting x values in these 3 intervals, you can see that f'(x) is positive in the first and third intervals and negative in the second interval.

This means that f(x) is increasing in the first and third intervals and decreasing in the second interval.

The answer is D.

143 is composite. To be prime it has to have only 2 divisors i.e it's self and one but since it has 4 divisors ( 143, 1, 11 and 13) it is composite.

W = ⅔Y

Y = 3X

W = ⅔(3X) = 2X

Z = ⅔(2X) = (4/3)X

X has to be a multiple of 3

If X = 3,
