Answer:

The final volume will be 24.7 cm³

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given:

Initial temperature = 180 °C

initial volume = 13 cm³ = 13 mL

The mixture is heated to a fina,l temperature of 587 °C

Pressure and amount = constant

Step 2: Calculate final volume

V1/T1 = V2/T2

with V1 = the initial volume V1 = 13 mL = 13*10^-3

with T1 = the initial temperature = 180 °C = 453 Kelvin

with V2 = the final volume = TO BE DETERMINED

with T2 = the final temperature = 587 °C = 860 Kelvin

V2 = (V1*T2)/T1

V2 = (13 mL *860 Kelvin) /453 Kelvin

V2 = 24.68 mL = 24.7 cm³

The final volume will be 24.7 cm³

How many moles of H2O2 are needed to react with 1.07 moles of N2H4?
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

2.14 moles of H₂O₂ are required

Explanation:

Given data:

Number of moles of H₂O₂ required = ?

Number of moles of N₂H₄ available = 1.07 mol

Solution:

Chemical equation:

N₂H₄  +   2H₂O₂       →   N₂ +  4H₂O

now we will compare the moles of H₂O₂ and N₂H₄

                          N₂H₄     :      H₂O₂

                            1           :        2

                            1.07      :         2×1.07 = 2.14 mol

Be sure to answer all parts.The combustion of a 40.0−g gaseous mixture of H2 and CH4 releases 3766 kJ of heat. Calculate the amo
Svetach [21]

Answer:H2=11.4g

CH4=28.6g

Explanation:The complete combustion of the two gases can be represented by a balanced reaction below

1. CH4 +2O2___CO2+2H2O

2.2H2+O2___2H2O

Combining the two we have CH4 +2H2+3O2___

CO2+4H2O

Since the mixture contains 40gof CH4 and 2, therefore 20g of CH4 and 8g of H2 combines.

Calculated from their molecular Mass i.e CH4 12+4×2)=20 and 2H2= 2×2×2=8g

Mass of CH4=20/28×40=28.6g

2H2=8/28×40=11.4g
