(1) The efficiency of AC power source is more as compared to DC power.

(2) AC power is easier to operate than DC power.

(4) The power sources having DC current can be converted to AC suing rectifiers.

(5) With the help of a transformer, the voltage can be easily increased or decreased in AC power source.
