Answer:

If you punched thousands of holes in the aluminum foil, you would see thousands of small images in the viewer.

Explanation:

If thousands of holes is punched/perforated in an aluminum foil, such that there were more holes than foil.

Thousands of small images would be formed, which can be seen in the viewer. Aluminum foil has a good reflective property which allows the thousands of holes punched to reflect equal number of images, although the images are smaller in size than the original image size.

Sally travels by car from one city to another. She drives for 26.0 min at 83.0 km/h, 52.0 min at 41.0 km/h, and 45.0 min at 60.0
Anna007 [38]
The average speed is determined by the following formula:

average speed = [sum of (speed * time for which that speed was traveled)] / total time

average speed = [(83 * 26 + 41 * 52 + 60 * 45 + 0 * 15) / 60] / [(26 + 52 + 45 + 15) / 60]
*note: The division by 60 is to convert minutes to hours. We see that the 60 cancels from the top and bottom of the division

average speed = 50.65 km/hr

The total distance traveled is equivalent to the numerator of the fraction we used in the first part. This is:
Distance = (83 * 26 + 41 * 52 + 60 * 45 + 0 * 15) / 60

Distance = 116.5 kilometers

A cat lies on the floor. can you say that no force acts on the cat? or is it correct to say that no net force acts on the cat? e
DIA [1.3K]

Odd though it seems at first, gravity is pulling the cat down while the floor is pushing the cat up - in equal amounts. Forces are absolutely acting on the cat but they balance - so there is no net force.

A brass rod with a mass of 0.300 kg slides on parallel horizontal iron rails, 0.440 m apart, and carries a current of 15.0 A. Th
Digiron [165]

Answer:

The magnitude of the magnetic field is  B  =  0.0890 \ T

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The mass of the rod is  m =0.300 \ kg

    The distance of separation is  d = 0.440 \ m

     The current is  I  = 15.0 \ A

     The coefficient of friction is   \mu = 0.300

Generally for the rod the rod to continue moving at a constant speed

   The frictional force must equal to the magnetic field force so

    F_m =  F_f

Where  F_m  =  B* I * d

and     F_f  =  \mu * m * g

   B*I *d =  \mu * m * g

=>    B  =  \frac{\mu * m * g }{I  * d }

substituting values

       B  =  \frac{0.2  * 0.300 * 9.8 }{ 15   * 0.440 }

       B  =  0.0890 \ T
