Answer:

Los datos que tenemos:

Rapidez: 69km/h

Tiempo que tarda en frenar = 4s.

Distancia inicial entre la tracto-mula y la vaca = 25m

Ok, la ecuación de desaceleración es:

D = (sf - si)/t

sf = velocidad final = 0m/s

si = velocidad inicial = 69km/h

t = tiempo = 4s

D = -69km/h/4s

ok, 1h = 3600s

D = (-69km/s)*1/(4*3600s)  = -0.0048 km/s^2

Entonces la ecuación de aceleración es:

a(t) =  -0.0048 km/s^2

Para la velocidad, integramos sobre el tiempo

v(t) = (-0.0048 km/s^2)*t + v0

donde v0 es la velocidad inicial, en este caso v0 = 69km/3600s = 0.0191km/s

v(t) =  (-0.0048 km/s^2)*t + 0.0191km/s

Para la posición volvemos a integrar sobre el tiempo, esta vez suponemos la posición inicial igual a cero.

p(t) = (1/2)*(-0.0048 km/s^2)*t^2 + 0.0191m/s*t

Ahora, si p(t=4s) < 25m, esto implica que la tracto-mula no impacto con la vaca.

p(4s) = (1/2)*(-0.0048 km/s^2)*(4s)^2 + 0.0191km/s*4s = 0.038km

y 1km = 1000m

0.038km = 0.038*1000m = 38m

Entonces si, atropello a la vaca.

A 1700kg rhino charges at a speed of 50.0km/h. what average force is needed to bring the rhino to a stop in 0.50s?
uranmaximum [27]
From 50km/h to 0km/h in 0.5s we need next acceleration:
First we convert km/h in m/s:
50km/h = 50*1000/3600=13.8888 m/s
a = v/t = 13.88888/0.5 = 27.77777 m/s^2

Now we use Newton's law:

F=m*a

F=1700*27.7777 = 47222N

An 8.0-ohm resistor and a 6.0-ohm resistor are connected in series with a battery. The potential difference across the 6.0-ohm r
ipn [44]

Answer:

a) 14 Ω

b) 2.0 A

c) 28 V

Explanation:

a) The total resistance of resistors in series is the sum:

R = R₁ + R₂

R = 8.0 Ω + 6.0 Ω

R = 14 Ω

b) The current in the 6.0 Ω resistor can be found with Ohm's law:

V = IR

12 V = I (6.0 Ω)

I = 2.0 A

c) Since the resistors are in series, they have the same current.  So the total voltage is:

V = IR

V = (2.0 A) (14 Ω)

V = 28 V

Which of the following illustrates two resistors in a parallel circuit
IRINA_888 [86]

In option A there are two resistors in which two terminals of resistors are connected with the terminals of battery so here they are connected in parallel.

In option B all resistors and battery is connected in a single loop so it is a series combination of all.

In option C all three resistors are connected by their terminals to a single battery so here all three resistor are in parallel with the battery.

In option D only one resistor is connected in series with a battery as one single loop is there.

So in the above all cases two resistors are in parallel with battery in option A

The initial and final velocities of two blocks experiencing constant acceleration are respectively −7.45 m/s and 14.9 m/s. (a) T
ikadub [295]

Answer:

a) a_{1}=3.7 m/s^{2}

b) a_{2}=3.68 m/s^{2}

Explanation:

a) The displacement of the first object is 22.5 m, so we can use the next equation:

v_{f}^{2}=v_{i}^{2}+2a\Delta x

a=\frac{v_{f}^{2}-v_{i}^{2}}{2x}

a=\frac{14.9^{2}-(-7.45)^{2}}{2*22.5}

a_{1}=3.7 m/s^{2}

positive acceleration.

b) Using the same equation we can find the second value of the acceleration:

a=\frac{v_{f}^{2}-v_{i}^{2}}{2x}

a=\frac{14.9^{2}-(-7.45)^{2}}{2*22.6}

a_{2}=3.68 m/s^{2}

positive acceleration.

I hope it helps you!
