1) What is air pressure? (Answer: Atmospheric
pressure, sometimes also called barometric pressure, is the pressure within the
atmosphere of Earth.)
2)
What
is a barometer and what is it used to measure? (Answer: A barometer is a scientific instrument used in meteorology to
measure atmospheric pressure. Pressure tendency can forecast short term changes in the
weather.)
3)
How
does air pressure change? (Answer: Millibar values used in
meteorology range from about 100 to 1050. At sea level, standard air pressure in millibars is
1013.2. Weather maps showing the pressure at
the surface are drawn using millibars. ... This change in pressure is
caused by changes in air density, and air density is related to
temperature.)
4) Why is cooler, drier air related to High
Pressure? (Answer: This is due to density differences
between the two air masses.
Since stronger high-pressure systems contain cooler or drier air, the air mass is denser and flows
towards areas that are warm or moist, which are in the vicinity of low pressure areas in advance of
their associated cold fronts.)
5)
Why
is warm, moister air related to Low Pressure?
(Answer: When air warms, its molecules scatter.
The air becomes
lighter and rises.)

Hello,
Dalton's law defines:

A total pressure is:

So, for A (solving for
in the previous equation, we get:

Since
, we obtain:

Best regards.
In the so called rain shadow effect we have interaction between all of the four major Earth spheres. When we have a coastal region where there's a high mountain range, the part of the mountain that is facing the sea will differ a lot from the part of the mountain that is on the other side. The water from the sea evaporates. The water vapor makes the air wet. The warm and wet air masses from the sea will come to the coastline, once they reach the mountain they will start to accumulate as they can not pass through it. As they accumulate rainfall appears. The rainfall contributes to a lush vegetation on this side of the mountain (windward side). The rain shadow effect appears on the leeward side of the mountain, and it mostly gets dry, strong, downward winds. These conditions result in drier climate, much less vegetation, and much increased erosion. Thus we can easily see that we have in this case interaction between the hydrosphere (the sea and the rainfall), the geosphere (the ground, soil, rocks), biosphere (the vegetation), and atmosphere (the winds, the clouds).
Answer: 28.4 g of aluminum oxide is produced by the reaction of 15.0 g of aluminum metal
Explanation:
To calculate the moles :
The balanced chemical equuation is:
According to stoichiometry :
4 moles of
produce == 2 moles of
Thus 0.556 moles of
will produce=
of
Mass of
Thus 28.4 g of aluminum oxide is produced by the reaction of 15.0 g of aluminum metal.
