Answer : The value of q,w,\Delta U\text{ and }\Delta U is 505 J, -599 J, -94 J and -693 J respectively.

Explanation : Given,

Mass of steam = 7.23 g

Initial temperature = 110^oC

Final temperature = (110+35)^oC=145^oC

Initial volume = 2 L

Final volume = 8 L

External pressure = 0.985 bar

Heat capacity of steam = 1.996 J/g.K

First law of thermodynamic : It states that the energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only change or transfer from one state to another state.

As per first law of thermodynamic,

\Delta U=q+w

First we have to calculate the heat absorbed by the system.

Formula used :

Q=m\times c\times \Delta T

or,

Q=m\times c\times (T_2-T_1)

where,

Q = heat absorbed by the system = ?

m = mass of steam = 7.23 g

C_p = heat capacity of steam = 1.966J/g.K

T_1 = initial temperature  = 110^oC=273+110=383K

T_2 = final temperature  = 145^oC=273+145=418K

Now put all the given value in the above formula, we get:

Q=7.23g\times 1.966J/g.K\times (418-383)K

Q=505J

Now we have to calculate the work done.

Formula used :

w=-p_{ext}dV\\\\w=-p_{ext}(V_2-V_1)

where,

w = work done  = ?

p_{ext} = external pressure = 0.985 bar = 0.985 atm   (1 bar = 1 atm)

V_1 = initial volume of gas = 2.00 L

V_2 = final volume of gas = 8.00 L

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get :

w=-p_{ext}(V_2-V_1)

w=-(0.985atm)\times (8.00-2.00)L

w=-5.91L.atm=-5.91\times 101.3J=-599J

conversion used : (1 L.atm = 101.3 J)

Now we have to calculate the change in internal energy of the system.

\Delta U=q+w

\Delta U=505J+(-599J)

\Delta U=-94J

Now we have to calculate the change in enthalpy of the system.

Formula used :

\Delta H=\Delta U+P\Delta V

\Delta H=\Delta U+w

\Delta H=(-94J)+(-599J)

\Delta H=-693J

Therefore, the value of q,w,\Delta U\text{ and }\Delta U is 505 J, -599 J, -94 J and -693 J respectively.

Consider a model of a hydrogen atom in which an electron is in a circular orbit of radius r = 5.92×10−11 m around a stationary p
DaniilM [7]

Answer:

2.068 x 10^6 m / s

Explanation:

radius, r = 5.92 x 10^-11 m

mass of electron, m = 9.1 x 10^-31 kg

charge of electron, q = 1.6 x 10^-19 C

As the electron is revolving in a circular path, it experiences a centripetal force which is balanced by the electrostatic force between the electron and the nucleus.

centripetal force = \frac{mv^{2}}{r}

Electrostatic force = \frac{kq^{2}}{r^{2}}

where, k be the Coulombic constant, k = 9 x 10^9 Nm^2 / C^2

So, balancing both the forces we get

\frac{kq^{2}}{r^{2}}=\frac{mv^{2}}{r}

v=\sqrt{\frac{kq^{2}}{mr}}

v=\sqrt{\frac{9\times 10^{9}\times1.6\times 10^{-19}\times 1.6\times 10^{-19}}{9.1\times 10^{-31}\times 5.92\times10^{-11}}}

v = 2.068 x 10^6 m / s

Thus, the speed of the electron is give by  2.068 x 10^6 m / s.

8. The fact that voltage can be created by exerting force on a crystal is used in which type of sensor?
AfilCa [17]

Option C

The fact that voltage can be created by exerting force on a crystal is used in Knock sensor

<u>Explanation:</u>

Any knock to an engine exhibits as a little shake that is distinguished by the knock sensor. This sensor acts by altering the fluctuation to an electrical sign, which is later transferred to the processor mastering the ignition system.

There the variation in quake to the voltage sign modifies the timing improvements on the kindling. The knock sensor is placed on the engine base, cylinder cap or consumption manifold. This is because its purpose is to sense fluctuations affected by engine knock or explosion.

Light of wavelength 400 nm is incident on a single slit of width 15 microns. If a screen is placed 2.5 m from the slit. How far
olganol [36]

Answer:

0.0667 m

Explanation:

λ = wavelength of light = 400 nm = 400 x 10⁻⁹ m

D = screen distance = 2.5 m

d = slit width = 15 x 10⁻⁶ m

n = order = 1

θ = angle = ?

Using the equation

d Sinθ = n λ

(15 x 10⁻⁶) Sinθ = (1) (400 x 10⁻⁹)

Sinθ = 26.67 x 10⁻³

y = position of first minimum

Using the equation for small angles

tanθ = Sinθ = y/D

26.67 x 10⁻³ = y/2.5

y = 0.0667 m
