1)

first you find the maxium force that the car can produce.

f=ma

Fmax=(1100kg)(6m/s^2)

then use f = ma again to find the accel with the passengers

Fmax=(1100kg +1650kg)(a)

=> a = (1100kg)(6m/s^2)/( 1100kg +1650kg)

= 2.4 m/s^2

Your boss asks you to design a room that can be as soundproof as possible and provides you with three samples of material. The o
Reil [10]
The correct option is D.
Sound proofing is usually achieved by using materials that absorbed or reduce sounds. Different materials are used in sounding proofing and these differ in their abilities to absorb or reduce sounds. The coefficient of absorption of a material refers to that material ability to absorb sound. The higher the percentage of a material absorption coefficient, the better the material's ability to absorb sound. Thus, in the question given above, the material with 62% absorption coefficient have the greatest ability of the three materials to absorb sound effectively. <span />

An architect is redesigning a rectangular room on the blueprints of a house. She decides to double the width of the room, increa
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:3.6

Explanation:

Given

Architect decide to double the width

length increases by 50 percent

height increases by 20 percent

Let L,B,H be length,height and width of rectangular room

L'=1.5L

B'=2B

H'=1.2H

therefore new volume V'=L'\times B'\times H'

V'=1.5L\times 2B\times 1.2H

V'=3.6LBH

new volume is 3.6 times the original

miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

0.256 hours

Explanation:

<u>Vectors in the plane </u>

We know Office A is walking at 5 mph directly south. Let X_A be its distance. In t hours he has walked

X_A=5t\ \text{miles}

Office B is walking at 6 mph directly west. In t hours his distance is

X_B=6t\ \text{miles}

Since both directions are 90 degrees apart, the distance between them is the hypotenuse of a triangle which sides are the distances of each office

D=\sqrt{X_A^2+X_B^2}

D=\sqrt{(5t)^2+(6t)^2}

D=\sqrt{61}t

This distance is known to be 2 miles, so

\sqrt{61}t=2

t =\frac{2}{\sqrt{61}}=0.256\ hours

t is approximately 15 minutes

Two resistors, A and B, are connected in a series circuit with a battery. The resistance of A is twice that of B. Which resistor
IgorC [24]

Answer:

A dissipates more power.

Explanation:

  • In a series circuit, the current is the same at any point in it.
  • The power dissipated in any resistor follows Joule's law, as follows:

        P = I^{2} * R

  • So, for a given current, the power is directly proportional to the resistance of the resistor.
  • In this case, as resistor A has twice the resistance of resistor B, A dissipates twice more power than B.
