A 0.40-kg object connected to a light spring with a force. constant of 19.6 N/m oscillates on a frictionless horizontal. surface

. If the spring is compressed 4.0 cm and released. from rest, determine (a) the maximum speed of. the object, (b) the speed of the object when the spring is. compressed 1.5 cm, and (c) the speed of the object when. the spring is stretched 1.5 cm. (d) For what value of x. does the speed equal one-half the maximum speed?

Max speed= A*w (A-ampitude 4cm, w=angular frequency)
w^2x=kx/m
w=under root k/m
max speed V= 4*10^-2 * under root 19.6/0.4
V=0.04 * under root 49=0.04*7
V=0.28m/sec

B) use formula
v=w * under root(A^2-x^2)

C) the answer will be same as of (B)

A girl throws a ball of mass 0.80 kg against a wall. The ball strikes the wall horizontally with a speed of 25 m/s, and it bounc
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

F = 800N

the magnitude of the average force exerted on the wall by the ball is 800N

Explanation:

Applying the impulse-momentum equation;

Impulse = change in momentum

Ft = m∆v

F = (m∆v)/t

Where;

F = force

t = time

m = mass

∆v = v2 - v1 = change in velocity

Given;

m = 0.80 kg

t = 0.050 s

The ball strikes the wall horizontally with a speed of 25 m/s, and it bounces back with this same speed.

v2 = 25 m/s

v1 = -25 m/s

∆v = v2 - v1 = 25 - (-25) m/s = 25 +25 = 50 m/s

Substituting the values;

F = (m∆v)/t

F = (0.80×50)/0.05

F = 800N

the magnitude of the average force exerted on the wall by the ball is 800N

Why do we need food even we lying in bed
nadezda [96]

Answer:

huger

Explanation:

Every living organisms would always need food because of the need for survival. Therefore, there's no human body positioning that specifies no need for food. E.g we can stand and still take in food; sit and eat, just to mention a few.
