H+ will bond with OH- to make water, because out of these options those are the only two with opposite charges (and remember opposites attract). Plus if it is an acid base reaction water must be a product (along with a salt).

A chemist is making 200 l of a solution that is 62% acid. he is mixing an 80% acid solution with a 30% acid solution. how much o
Savatey [412]
Answer: 72L of 30% and 128L of 80%

You can determine the weight of the acid by multiplying the concentration with the volume. Let say v1 is the volume of 30% solution needed and v2 is the volume of 80% solution.
The weight of acid from the used solution should be equal to the product. You can get this equation
final solution= solution1 + solution2
200l * 62%= v1 * 30% + v2*80%
124L= 0.3v1 + 0.8v2
124L- 0.3v1= 0.8v2
v2=155L- 0.375v1

The total volume of both should be 200l. If you use the previous equation, you can calculate:
v1+v2=200L
v1+ (155L- 0.375v1)= 200L
0.625v1= 200L - 155L
v1= 45/ 0.625= 72L

v1+v2=200L
v2= 200L- 72L= 128L

The electron configuration for chromium is 1s22s22p63s23p63d54s1 instead of 1s22s22p63s23p63d44s1. The configuration is an excep
g100num [7]

Answer: The correct answer is Aufbau principle.

Explanation:

Pauli exclusion principle states that no two electrons with in an atom can have all four quantum numbers same.

Heisenberg principle states that it is impossible to measure with high precision the value of momentum and position of an electron.

Aufbau principle states that the electron will occupy the lowest energy level first before occupying the higher energy levels.

Schrodinger equation is used to find the allowed energy levels of quantum mechanical systems of an electron.

Chromium is the 24th element of the periodic table and its electronic configuration must be written as: 1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^63d^44s^2

But the actual configuration for this is 1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^63d^54s^1

This configuration is an exception to Aufbau's principle because half filled sub-levels is more stable than other configurations.

The actual configuration has half filled 'd' and 's' sub-levels but the expected configuration had fully filled 's' orbital and partially filled 'd' orbital.

Thus, actual configuration is accepted for chromium atom.

Hence, the correct answer is Aufbau's principle.

The graph below shows how the pH of the soil in
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Point B

Explanation:

From 0 - 7 on the pH scale, substances are said to be acidic. At 7, the substance is said to be neutral. From 7 - 14, substances are basic.

Lime is a basic substance. Therefore, when it is added to the soil, one should expect that the soil becomes more basic. On the graph, this should be represented by the line increasing in pH. As such, the point at which lime was added was most likely Point B.

A technical machinist is asked to build a cubical steel tank that will hold "265" L of water. Calculate in meters the smallest p
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

0.64 m

Explanation:

Given that;

1L = 0.001 cubic metre

Then;

263 L = 263 L × 0.001 cubic metre/1L

= 0.263 cubic metre

Volume of a cube = l^3

l= 3√V

l= 3√0.263 cubic metre

l= 0.64 m
