The translation is down 5 because if you simplify or solve the second f(x), it would be x^2 - 5. I hope this helps :)

You don't even have to actually do the division to find the correct answer.

The leading term of q(x) is x³/x² = x, so only the 1st and 3rd selections are appropriate.

But , f(\pm\frac{1}{5},\pm\frac{2}{5},\pm\frac{4}{5},\pm1,\pm2,\pm4)\neq 0

So, no root of this polynomial is real.

Therefore, All the four roots of Polynomial are imaginary.
